  • On June 13, 2024, at around 8:30 PM, an officer with the crime suppression unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a black Hyundai Sonata for a minor traffic violation while in the area of Chattahoochee Ave and Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. The officer encountered the driver and passenger who both provided identification. During this time, the officer noticed the rear driver side passenger was not wearing his seatbelt. The male was asked for his identification and stated he did not have it on him. He provided the officer with a name and date of birth, however upon further investigation, the information came back to a different male. The male was detained and later fingerprinted on scene where he was positively identified as 37-year-old Tionte Strayhorn out of Indiana. Strayhorn had two full extradition warrants from the US Marshalls Service and Howard County Sheriff's Office for Escape and Dangerous Drugs violation. Additionally, he was charged with Obstruction and Giving False Information. He was later transported to the Fulton County Jail and taken into their custody without incident. Thank you to these Zone 2 CSU officers for completing a very thorough traffic stop and investigation which led to the apprehension of this individual! Job well done!
