My nephew is autistic and he didn’t start talking until he was about 5. He’s 14 now and can do everything the doctors counted him out for. He’s really good with music and playing the piano

I’ve heard sometimes autistic children know how to talk but sometimes don’t do so until they feel comfortable
yes cause my mom is a nurse and workes for autism kids and the doctor tould the parents the child wouldnt be able to see your walk or talk and he walks really good and he will pick up the smallest things that i cant even see and would just look at it and he can talk

My son who is autistic was nonverbal until almost 4yrs old. He’s about to be 7 and was just taken out of speech therapy at school because he no longer qualifies as having a speech impairment. He literally talks nonstop now!!! Keep pushing him and giving him the support he needs and he will be talking in no time!!
awww my baby cousin is at that age she’s autistic as well and is kind of nonverbal but she has her own little wats of talking and she can say some words ☺️💕

Its great your son is making progress. Speech also help with social skills. Did you know that? You might want to look into that. I know most autistic kids need help with social skills. My autistic son is very verbal but goes off topic at times. He getting one day a week in school speech to help with this. Just FYI. He's 9. I'm going to push for another day in his next IEP. The school will try to save money by taking away services. Just make sure they're not taking away services he needs.

My sister used to be non verbal until 5 and now she's in her senior year of college as a paralegal. My mom was as dedicated as you. He has the best mother ever. Keep it up and i promise you it will pay off.

My uncle had the same thing going on and when he got 5 or 6 they couldn't get him to stop talking he is a graduate from Harvard and now works at the Pentagon!!! I watched this baby born and I couldn't do nothing but cry with you Domo I'm so proud of him God is working! ❤️ I will continue to pray for this big boy he is going to do great things
It all depends on the parents TBH. Your kid can have disabilities but if you don’t take the time to teach them. They won’t learn ANYTHING. there’s so many smart kids with disabilities living their best life. I’m for that ❤️

This is literally my son! Wick and my son are a month apart so being pregnant with you and also going through the crazy world of autism together made it seem like you were there with me! We got our diagnosis a little after you guys did! You’ve helped me so much! Me and Kian love you and wick!
He’s too cutee 🥺 seeing you as a mother loving him unconditionally just warms my heart. Hearing you talk about wick being able to come to you whenever about whatever makes me happy. My partner has autism and so does his son and I just absolutely love this. Even with my partner as an adult there are things he does now that are a huge achievement with him having autism so I can only imagine what this is like for you with your son. You are such an incredible mother! It's such a neurotypical world we live in. 💜🖤

Domo, I teared up when I heard Wick say I love you. Every milestone little or big is to be celebrated. You have come along way with him. I as a new mother going thru some things with my son I get overly excited when he does something new.
My daughter has autism and my moment was when she said trick-or-treat for her third Halloween and I was a mess because years before she couldn’t say it and a lot of people would tell her “oh say trick-or-treat.” And it was so frustrating because she couldn’t. Those moments you cherish forever and you never forget.
Wick is so smart he is talking a little more. He has the best mom ever.

My son was diagnosed with ASD at two and was nonverbal up until the age of 4, he's now 13 years old in middle school and on the high honor roll, parents I advise you to fight tooth and nail for services they're there, don't ever let someone tell you it's impossible. Hey domo, my son also has ASD but I only found out officially last year. My son is 6, he turned 6 in March and he used to be sort of non verbal; he talked exactly like the minions but then he started to say words here and there. But he is kind of aggressive so I am trying to make sure I know all of his triggers. I truly dislike when I feel people are treating him awfully, he's loud, hyper or energetic, and is super smart. He talks in full sentences now and it surprises me even now to find out that he knows more than I thought. I know your feeling, when jerimiah (my sons name) say new things that I didn't know he knew it blows my mind. Congratulations because he is about to explode with things you never knew he knew.

Girl I cry anytime my brother let's me hug him or when he says he miss me too. When I say I love him he just says "yea" or "I know" lol I just say it to see what he gonna say now. If he ever actually said it back i would probably drop dead 🤣 but every moment that he allows me into his world im so honored I get emotional. Im so Happy for you to hear him say it to you, and the fact he keeps saying it and smiling is such a beautiful thing. He loves your reaction and making you smile. 🥰

@@mansfield821 yes his words was in there but he just would not say nothing. I was scared. He literally would not say anything at all. I saw 1 yr olds and they was talkn and saying all kinds of words. I took my grandboy to the dr. We had an appointment to get him tested for Autism. He turned 3 and i promise you 2xweek afterwards...... BAM💥 its like something just let loose in his brain. He out of the blue started talkn. Perfectly!!!!!😊 We still love hearing him talk and its been a whole year on

I can TOTALLY relate to how emotional you are, ESPECIALLY when it comes to our babies!💕. I’m a Cancer♋️ too and so is my 2, almost 3 year-old (July 11th) who’s also on the spectrum and she just said “I love you” (more like “I yuh you”😊) back to me for the first time about a week ago!😊. So watching this made me smile ear to ear🙂💞.

I love this! So happy for you guys! My 10 year old son is mildly Autistic and he didn't start talking until he was 7. And he's on an 8th grade level in his school. His father is great with him and sometimes I tear up watching his growth because when he was diagnosed at 2 it was a very scary and nerve-wracking time especially with him being my first child. But he is such a gift and blessing in my life! 💯😌💜

I'm a RBT working with kids on the spectrum and it's sooo rewarding seeing their growth throughout time and I'm especially happy to see Wic grow!. I thought my son was on the spectrum which is why I have had a strong pull to understand it and you helped me cope. His results came back inconclusive so I'm still unsure but ABA therapy works with every child and it's helping me! Keep showing him off keep your energy please you're helping so many people. In a earlier video you mentioned how you're not sad about his diagnosis you were scared of how others would treat him and that was my feelings exactly but you're awesome and thank you so much!!

This makes me so happy cry’s tears of happiness my son is non verbal he is 3 and a 1/2 years old and he said a lot before 18 months then slowly stopped but this gives me so much hope and I honestly can’t wait to hear his sweet voice again just talking up a storm non stop!! Your sweet boy is so precious and sooo sooo smart our children are definitely gifted so smart the world has to catch up ❤️
