I remember reading a comment a while back where someone was saying that their head-canon reason as to why Twin Snakes' cutscenes are like this is because it's Otacon retelling the events to Sunny. I love the cutscenes because of that.
My personal head-cannon is that this game is part of Raiden's VR training and the reason why things are so different and over-the-top is because it's VR. It also kind of explains why Otacon is so clumsy and laughable. Raiden's VR training was conducted under the guidance of The Patriots (presumably) and as such the people creating the VR training program probably hated having to make Snake seem like such a total badass since the real Solid Snake and Otacon were fighting a 2 man war against those who were making new Metal Gears (which included the Patriots). Due to this hatred for Snake and Otacon they probably wanted to make Snake look like a total fool as well but since that would be really suspicious they decided to make Otacon look like a total tool and a fool instead while also making Snake into a comedically badass character. That took a lot longer then I thought it would to explain
I remember that, too!! Pretty sure it was on one of the OG MGS1 fullsauce vids.. it's very silly and cute, and is perfectly in line w how Otacon recalls one of Snake's fights like a fanboy in MGS4 LOL
I would be perfectly fine with Vinny becoming a full-time Metal Gear streamer, solely so I could listen to those mediocre, but incredible impersonations

I'll never get over the fact that whenever Vinny does a new voice, he eventually ends up doing the "go to the bathroom" skit, and it just gets better and better every time.
I mean... Honestly, that video is the perfect template for trying new impressions. Thinking about Snake not wanting to go to the bathroom because he's playing videogames, to the point that people around him can smell his shit, is so ridiculous and out of character it's perfect.

I can't believe that Mario and Yoshi lost their way and ended up using their skills as scientists to create nuclear weapons.... at least, I **think** that's what 15:05 is trying to tell me.
I once heard the explanation of the over-the-top cutscenes in this game as "Otacon overdramatically retelling the story to Sunny" & now I can't see it any other way.
When people tell me Twin Snakes is a recreation of Metal Gear Solid trough Otacon eyes, I didn't believe them, I tough it was just another "kojima never fucks up" fanboy theory. But this is way too funny and feels intentionally cheesy. This could come out of Otacon mind.
I have been thinking about the bit where Snake tries to contact Miller after meeting Liquid non-stop for the past 3 days. It’s actually mind blowing how funny Vinny is sometimes
41:31 Nerd moment but the Metal Gears have screams for psychological warfare. As over the top as the series can be, I believe this one. I would be absolutely horrified if I heard these things off in the distance.
Man, I remember playing this, Tales of Symphonia and Killer 7 one after the other as a kid… Those games sharing like 90% of voice actors really made me aware of voice actors as a thing that exists.
I think I'm somehow in awe of how the twist involving miller was genuinely surprising to me the first time I watched this, despite it being blatantly foreshadowed right in front of my eyes
Call me immature but after this episode I changed my Zoom pfp for work to the gorilla eating a taco and it has been the best choice I have ever made as a college student
11:53 Jerma: “VINNY! It is I, your brother! You’ve fallen into my trap! I know how much you don’t like smelly smells. If you puke into that toilet,... GAS!”
@@TedMan55 There are hints of Solid being bi throughout the series. Also Miller towards Big Boss, it's not even hinted. There's a pretty good compilation video of these bi/gay passes throughout the series that I hadn't ever noticed despite multiple playthroughs. Kind of a long vid but I recommend it, you realize a lot of lgbtq lore not so hidden in the story.
The over-the-top cutscenes in this game made it so fascinating. And yep, Kojima allowed the director of the cutscenes to do them in his own style rather than do them in a faithful manner. It's an interesting style, nonetheless.
The director was going recreate the cutscenes shot for shot but Kojima told him to do it in his style. These cutscenes are pretty common for Mgs games so it shouldn’t be a surprise that they added these, it makes it feel more like the other games.
@@TungstenViper I’m not, this is what happened. These cutscenes were ordered by Kojima and approved by Kojima. In Japan there was a premium package for Twin Snakes that included a booklet that discussed the game’s cutscenes and even had a picture of Kojima and the cutscene director.
41:46 This like george salonik's MGS3 Best Playthrough. Tt goes something like this: "Jack i got some important news. Virtuous mission. Virtual mission? Virtuous mission. Virtuous mission... Sokolov. Sokolov? Sokolov Sokolov Afraid. Afraid? Sokolov Sokolov Sokolov Sokolov. Sokolov? That's right. Sokolov Sokolov- Sokolov? Yes. Got it! Sokolov Sokolov. Got it! Fox... Sokolov." Then snake proceeds to fall in a cliff and creates a time paradox.
"BROTHER! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!" "LUIGI, ARE YOU PLAYING METAL GEAR SOLID AGAIN? YOU KNOW THAT'S LIQUID LINE" "I KNOW BROTHER" "THEN START RUNNING BECAUSE KONAMI'S ABOUT TO HUNT US FOR INVADING OTHER COPYRIGHTS"
In summary: Liquid survives a Helicopter crash while in the pilot seat, while also possibly tanking stinger missiles to the face depending on where they land Liquid Snake survives several MORE point-blank stinger missiles in the cockpit of REX And survives being in the cockpit of REX as it explodes And survives getting punched in the face a million times And survives a lethal fall from the top of REX (that kills Solid Snake) And survives getting shot in the face a million times with a high-power weapon AND survives a horrific car crash But in the end, the thing that kills him is FOXDIE, something that would have killed him regardless of everything else he had tanked. And even THAT took a lot of time to actually make him die.

Everytime vinny says “Have you guys played Metal Gear Taco” he always says “okay here we go” and everytime he does I luagh.
Whenever I’m sad I just think about Otacon falling down multiple times in a row and then I’m less sad XD
"Eaaargh!!!" - Snake's American quote.
I have been thinking about the bit where Snake tries to contact Miller after meeting Liquid non-stop for the past 3 days. It’s actually mind blowing how funny Vinny is sometimes
The title reminds me of that two-headed snake named "We" that had an article in those old National Geographic magazines I read as a wee lad.
??????
What flavor yellow was the border?
15:52 I love how long this clip is, it has good comedic timing.
41:31 Nerd moment but the Metal Gears have screams for psychological warfare.
As over the top as the series can be, I believe this one. I would be absolutely horrified if I heard these things off in the distance.
23:47 "OH YEAH?! What's a husky?" 💀
Time to relive the events of MGS for the 3rd time this year
Now with more Capussi.
My art made it into the thumbnail! Thanks for putting it there!
No problem, it's a good art
Miller never returns Vinny’s calls because he’s cooking his burgers. They take time after all.
Let's be honest, Otakon did not go into science to make nuclear weapons, he did it to make cat girls in real life.
I believe in you, Hal "Otaku Convention" Emmerich! You'll do it some day!
Bold to assume he didn't do it to become a catboy himself
46:02 This might be a silly question, but why do you need five people working on vibration?
Testing
;)))
9:42 when you suddenly realize that your pizza rolls are probably cold now
This stream was bittersweet because it was his last major MGS game. I know he's got side games and the MG games, but it's not the same... I'm sad :(
2:15 , I hate how, because of corruptions, I expect to see a rapidly *R O T A T E* -ing Helicopter in that spot.
"Do think that love can bloom... in the pantry?"
-Vinny 2021
Man, I remember playing this, Tales of Symphonia and Killer 7 one after the other as a kid…
Those games sharing like 90% of voice actors really made me aware of voice actors as a thing that exists.
All right snake, heres an american quote:
" *A-* "
7:17 😂
Holy shit. I literally just watched your entire MGS4 playthrough. Excellent.
6:47 is legendary
I think I'm somehow in awe of how the twist involving miller was genuinely surprising to me the first time I watched this, despite it being blatantly foreshadowed right in front of my eyes
Call me immature but after this episode I changed my Zoom pfp for work to the gorilla eating a taco and it has been the best choice I have ever made as a college student
11:53 Jerma: “VINNY! It is I, your brother! You’ve fallen into my trap! I know how much you don’t like smelly smells. If you puke into that toilet,... GAS!”
22:49 Snake confirm for tomboys LETS GOOOOOOOO
my man has good taste
(mostly) Everyone in MGS is canonically bi. Go ham with this information.
@@eveandaedrul volgin, maybe ocelot, vamp, but who else?
@@TedMan55 There are hints of Solid being bi throughout the series. Also Miller towards Big Boss, it's not even hinted. There's a pretty good compilation video of these bi/gay passes throughout the series that I hadn't ever noticed despite multiple playthroughs. Kind of a long vid but I recommend it, you realize a lot of lgbtq lore not so hidden in the story.
@@eveandaedrul SO I CAN SUCK LIQUID OFF
the liquid being water, to get hydrated, obviously
The over-the-top cutscenes in this game made it so fascinating.
And yep, Kojima allowed the director of the cutscenes to do them in his own style rather than do them in a faithful manner.
It's an interesting style, nonetheless.
The cutscene director really liked "The Matrix" thats why the scenes are like this
The director was going recreate the cutscenes shot for shot but Kojima told him to do it in his style. These cutscenes are pretty common for Mgs games so it shouldn’t be a surprise that they added these, it makes it feel more like the other games.
@@donkeykongisytpooping3002 it’s a shame they sound bored most of the time in the re recorded voice acting
@@donkeykongisytpooping3002 i really hope you're joking
@@TungstenViper I’m not, this is what happened. These cutscenes were ordered by Kojima and approved by Kojima. In Japan there was a premium package for Twin Snakes that included a booklet that discussed the game’s cutscenes and even had a picture of Kojima and the cutscene director.
"Here's every instance of genes *and it's derivative* from the stream" okay how about nerve agent
:(
That random ass cut to footage of Z.O.E. while Otacon talks about anime is the best decision Twin Snakes made.
There are other good decisions like the quality of life additions.
@@donkeykongisytpooping3002 Alright, it's second best.
The original refrence in MGS was PoliceNauts
@@DirectorOfChaos9292 I know, but Z.O.E is cool too.
41:46 This like george salonik's MGS3 Best Playthrough. Tt goes something like this:
"Jack i got some important news. Virtuous mission. Virtual mission? Virtuous mission. Virtuous mission... Sokolov. Sokolov? Sokolov Sokolov Afraid. Afraid? Sokolov Sokolov Sokolov Sokolov. Sokolov? That's right. Sokolov Sokolov- Sokolov? Yes. Got it! Sokolov Sokolov. Got it! Fox... Sokolov."
Then snake proceeds to fall in a cliff and creates a time paradox.
everyone knew Exactly what was coming on 11:50
13:06 Metal Gear Scoot
im scared that Vinny got posses by the Scoot ghost
22:51
Snake is a man of quality.
TOMBOY SUPREMACY
9:44 Snake moves like he just forgot the lakota memory jogging dance
7:16 one of the funniest moments in all of vinesauce
Otacon talks about Anime like an undercover cop.
And I just watched vinnys compilations of MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 earlier today. What are the chances? Spot on timing vinesauce John, thanks!
"BROTHER! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!"
"LUIGI, ARE YOU PLAYING METAL GEAR SOLID AGAIN? YOU KNOW THAT'S LIQUID LINE"
"I KNOW BROTHER"
"THEN START RUNNING BECAUSE KONAMI'S ABOUT TO HUNT US FOR INVADING OTHER COPYRIGHTS"
What a nice surprise, goddamn
Time to watch Twin Snakes on Fullsauce
11:53 “If you puke into that toilet,...
Gas GAS GAS gasgasgas G A S G A S G A S gas GYEAS!!!
I love how every time Vinny does the "Jesus didn't happen" bit, he adds a new line
While I was watching these streams, I thought his Master Miller sounded too much like Liquid. I appreciated it much more after the reveal.
16:42 I took a big swig of coffee and nearly spat it out when I looked back down
“Back down”?! 😂
6:46
I love that Vinny can perfectly replicate the way Snake says "No"
That snake screaming impression was on point
Seeing Vinny play through Twin Snakes makes me feel like most people want this game in the MGS collections purely for how bonkers it is. 😂
In summary:
Liquid survives a Helicopter crash while in the pilot seat, while also possibly tanking stinger missiles to the face depending on where they land
Liquid Snake survives several MORE point-blank stinger missiles in the cockpit of REX
And survives being in the cockpit of REX as it explodes
And survives getting punched in the face a million times
And survives a lethal fall from the top of REX (that kills Solid Snake)
And survives getting shot in the face a million times with a high-power weapon
AND survives a horrific car crash
But in the end, the thing that kills him is FOXDIE, something that would have killed him regardless of everything else he had tanked. And even THAT took a lot of time to actually make him die.
He also survives the Hind D crash.
@@donkeykongisytpooping3002 Ah right, I forgot about that
i have a professor who worked on this game. he really likes to tell the story of how his team was invited to kojima’s house for dinner
I'd like to hear that story haha
Made it up, proof?
@@flightsimx stfu you geek
