- In this video I install the axle on the beach cart. I used galvanized pipe, it does have some rust from saltwater use this summer, other options such as aluminum may suit your needs better if this is a concern.

Its been a long long time that l heard a man whistle while working. Its a sound of contentment and security. Last person l heard whistle while working on a project was my dad. I wish l did that more than cuss, worry and complain. Great video. More people should try whistling while working, its a great stress reliever. God bless.
I would guess the whistling came back after I got out of the automotive industry haha, I don’t even notice I’m doing it. I really appreciate this kind comment, thank you!
Not sure what I’m more impressed with the built or that DeWalt drill !!
Hahaha thanks! That old girl is still going!
Very nice idea and build. This is fun to watch
Thank you!!!
Great idea, well done!
Brilliant!
Great video…Please post all the videos related to this build…
Great job . Very good. From Brazil. 👍🇧🇷.
Wow! Thanks!!!
very nice ideal ....thanks for sharing
Thanks! Hopefully more to come in the spring.
where did you buy the wheels and what's the payload on the tires.
Super thanks for the video brother
You’re welcome, thanks for checking it out!
@@zekeshandles Genius
I hope you do more projects and video them.
Oh thanks, Awesome! I do have a pretty cool winter project in mind, I will video and post for sure! Related to shark fishing, hope it works! It will be a bit before I get to it though.
@@zekeshandles Great.
Nice sand truck, I would weld a washer to the axle inside of the wheels to prevent them to touch the frame.
Hey thanks! No rubbing no worries the pvc section the axle rides in is just a little wider than frame. Thanks for checking it out!
I’m looking at building one just like this. Picked up the cargo carrier today. I do have a question. Why did you decide to put the axle through the pvc vs u bolting it directly to frame? Is it so you can easily remove entire axle for transport/ storage?
Thanks for checking out the video! Yeah the axle needs to come out so it is out of the way when attached to the car hitch. Major shin hazard haha!
Well done. What wheels did you use?
Thanks! I haven’t found a brand on them, I purchased used on eBay.
How long did your axle rod need to be for the tires to clear the sides of the carrier?
I think the pvc was 24” total so it over hung the sides by half inch. The metal part of the axle I just put together and Estimated. I can measure in about a week if you need.
Does the tire not have bearings to spin freely on the 3/4” axel not requiring the pvc? Great series. Watched all three videos.
Thanks!! The tires don’t have bearings I used the pvc under frame to make the axle easier to remove. Wheels do rotate easily without bearing though also. I actually think bearing would be a problem with the salt and sand unless sealed really well. Good luck!!
Thank you for the reply.
What size screws did you use to make the cart removable from the steel hitch? I didn’t see them in the parts list.
5/16” x 1 1/2” they worked pretty well, I might suggest grunge the threads down a bit more where they slide in they sometimes hang up a bit. Good luck
@@zekeshandles thanks for the reply! Much appreciate it
What size clip pins are que using as wheel
Stopper??
I used 1/4 x 1 1/4” zinc lynch pins, they are holding up okay. I would probably go with stainless if done again. I just linked some stainless ones in the video description. Thanks for checking it out!
What size axel and conduit did you use?
The outer is 1” pvc and the conduit is 3/4”. It just needs to spin freely in the wheel so you may need a different size depending on the wheel you get. My wheels were 1” axles. Thanks!
What tires are those and where is the best place to get those tires?
I purchased these tires used through eBay. I would suggest searching (balloon beach tires) on Amazon, last I checked some good options were available.
hi where did you get the hitch holder for cart
@@JT-616 thanks! The cargo hitch carrier was from harbor freight.
@@zekeshandles Thanks for the reply.
what keywords did you use to find the wheels on ebay?
I looked up balloon wheels or beach wheels. There are a set of name brand used ones on there now that would be a good deal, I’ll try to send you a link.

I have no affiliation with this seller but probably a decent option.
@@zekeshandles thanks!
Where did you get your tires?
Never mind. I saw your other replies. Thanks for the video
@@andrewcombs9312 hey thanks! Last I checked it looked like Amazon had a lot more options now than in the past also. Good luck
Sharpenyourdrillbits
Definitely need sharpened! I do the overheat them until they melt the material technique lol
You are already at a disadvantage using zinc hardware if you are taking that thing to a real beach.
True but for the price it will take several years to rust through. Has held up pretty well so far. Thanks for checking out the video!
Tires are made for beach or sand. typically used for a hand pull kayak trailers from truck to water over sand.
"ballon beach sand tire" is a good starting search for these tyres.
