Peace be upon you brother, thank you for this beautiful video. Again such a needed reminder! Please never never stop making videos..☺️ I find them so helpful specially for believers who don’t have access to scholars in their communities.... Almighty God bless you
Salam wa nur; thanks for the video! I've seen victim consciousness being a very destructive force in my life, and I have also been very self-destructive while in this consciousness, so I understand the intent and message. I am not on your Maqam so I hesitate to do this, but I must respectfully challenge and stress the importance of Rahman wa Rahim, the mercy of Allah. We have to be merciful towards believers in this time of 2nd Jahiliyyah, this world of Dajjal and materialism. Its not an easy time being a believer today. Allah tests us hard. I cannot say to a slave who was captured from Africa, put into a slave ship, sitting there struggling for his life "don't victimize yourself". Or a man who saw his children being destroyed by bombs in Syria "don't victimize yourself". That's Karma without Rahman and Rahim. Allah says in Hadith Qudsi "My mercy prevails over my wrath". I've seen so many Hindu spiritual teachers talk about Karma, and my heart tells me "they are almost there but they just don't understand the mercy of Allah, that's where their teaching fails". We have to be able to be sad and feel pain in our hearts, and be honest about it. Even though we do everything in our power to change our destiny, as we know our life is in our hands, we must be able to feel sad and allow suffering. Because I believe that certain things are actually outside of our control but in the hands of Allah in order to purify us (Tarbiyah) to becoming better servants.
Blessed salaams, peace and light. Yes, I agree. Were we to not feel sadness and sorrow for the suffering of others, we would be lacking in the basic love and compassion that Islam calls us towards and seeks to cultivate. And this compassion must be extended towards others and ourselves. Yet nonetheless, succumbing to the victim-consciousness mindset harms the individual in question only further, and distances the heart from surrender to the manifestation of Divine Will, khairihi wa sharrihi, the good and the evil, to which belief in qadr, or Divine Decree requires of the believer. And our Lord Most High knows best.
Those who are on the receiving end of injustice in this dunia will receive their just rewards in the afterlife, far more than those who has it easy in this life. It's okay to feel sad, it's normal to feel pain, as the situation warrants so, but when every conflict makes a person revisit their victim consciousness, that's the moment you relinquish control of your situation and actions to the waswas of the shayateen. SubhanAllah.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakat dear brother this is the 25th of Ramadan as you can see it almost 3am! I know I supposed to focus on a warship!!! I was reading the English translation Quran. The chapter of the bee. I have come across so many places about mindfulness. Then I turn to UA-cam and type mindfulness in Islam so I find your video. I am so grateful I can wait to watch all of them! May Allah bless you and your entire offspring into the day of judgment. I have been looking or into personal development for the past three four years and I came across some Islamic videos but none has inspired me like yours !Mat Allah except your deeds. I hope, I will better myself or transform myself and heal myself then I can be help and hope to others! In shaa allah you will have all the reward as well! MAY the creator grant you long healthy and blessed life! Keep up the wonderful job Thank you again! I would love to take your courses if they are affordable!
Hello brother, great video however you mentioned qadr and destiny several times however are we not told that dua (affirmations/supplications with sincere belief and pure intention) can alter qadr?
Sometimes we are on the opposite end of the spectrum - which is that we, life or others deny us the opportunity to acknowledge that wrong has been done to us. This is an important step in recovery in my opinion. However, after having the opportunity to feel sad for the loss or pain we experienced, it is important to learn the necessary lessons, correct ourselves where needed, forgive where necessary or possible, accept the situation as Allah’s Will, and move on. It really is a journey, and I feel problems arise when we get stuck in a particular stage. I learned about these things from learning about the stories of the Prophets (although I’m always amazed at the capacity of the Prophets to not fall into anger and hatred after experiencing massive unjust situations, usually at the hands of others). However, as Muslims in this modern world, it is important to talk about these things, to educate ourselves and others. We are often emotionally uneducated about these matters. I appreciate this video as it has gotten me to think and reflect.
Masha Allah dear Brother Ihsan, so deep Wisdom in this Video again ,alhamdulillah your Videos are currently so much aligned with my own experiences, jazakallahu kheiran cant thank enough, may Allah swt always protect you and your loved ones in the now and hereafter Amin ya Rabb
Those that love too hard as children but are neglected as children go on to expect to find their fulfillment from people but their very existence seems to them to depend on those around them. It’s a set up for disappointment just to turn back to Allah. Others for sure will keep attempting to bring you back into that state but it’s about true turning to Allah. The issue is that we need to also have forgiveness and compassion towards ourselves first and then towards others.
BISMILLAH Salaam brother Ihsan It can be difficult to make the shift you are speaking about. It requires sacrifice including becoming isolated from "friends" & "family". Loneliness becomes more difficult to cope with as an individual becomes older. May the Most Merciful (swt) continue bestowing His (swt) favours on all for the sake of His Beloved Servant (saw), Ameen
It is a shame that some people use this teaching to oppress others, saying that entire ethnic groups cultivate victim mentality and so they deserve all the bad things that happen to them. It makes me so wary of videos like this but I'm glad to see you haven't taken that stance. (Wandered over from Seekers of Unity!)
Assalaam alaikum wrwb brother. JazakAllahu khair for sharing powerful message of Allah swt / hadith in a clear inspiring motivating positive thoughts and raise our Emaan for self and healthy surroundings.
Dear brother Ihsan lots of love and affection from India. By grace of God your videos has changed my life and thinking absolutely. Jazakallah. Stay happy and and please continue doing what you are, you never know whom is going to be benefitted thousands miles away. May divine light, peace and protection with you, me and all of us😊
Perhaps the single most important practice I would recommend is "meditation." By learning to become still and surrendered, and to let go, we heal the mind from its acquired negative neural programming. This brings a human being increasingly into a state of presence, which is an innocent state and experience free from both past and future. Meditation literally dissolves the negative neural programming and conditioning of the mind, and allows the light of goodness to flow through. www.spiritualexcellence.com/islamicmeditation.
The most difficult thing is that those that abuse others tell them the same thing “what are you a wooose? Stop acting like a victim”, “you made me do this to you”. Over and over again, you learn to beat yourself up for them so they can let go of you. But it’s really about looking at our needs and handing it over to Allah. You want belongingness? You want love, you want peace, get it from Allah.
We should try to understand what he is saying, we are not just neurons talking with each others. Our existance are more than that. What he is saying is actually test our existence and shape it on a greater level day by day.
I have a voice note from my mother where she is making a duaa to Allah that the shaytan possesses me. These types of circumstances are not talked about and the type of damage caused by people like her is beyond words considering I still make duaa that Allah guides her and suggest she does ruqya The damage continues but I intend to cut ties to save my soul because I am tired of remaining at rock bottom Make duaa for me please Tabarak Allah
If you don't accept that you're being victimized, you will do nothing to stop it. Ignorance is not bliss! Don't say this to Palestinians. I hear victim blaming in this video- sad. PTSD is a physiological and subconscious scar that isn't something one can just "let go" of, you are saying that PTSD is a choice of victims, that's disgusting. Narcissistic/psychopathic personalities and idolatry are the most destructive states of being- not victimhood and it's repercussions.
I totally agree with Spine Tingles --- Narcissistic psychopathic personalities malignant narcissists the dark triad are a form of self idolatry and they cause great damage on an individual and collective level. PTSD complex PTSD is VERY real and it is hell for the victims ..it is not about choosing thoughts and what kind of thoughts it is the kind of experiences that get embedded in your being and your psyche ...admitting truth is step one to overcome victimhood...yes ignorance is not bliss and bypassing is not bliss either.
Try to understand what he is saying buddy, you are not just neurons talking with each others. Your existance is more than that. What he is saying is actually test your existence and shape it on a greater level day by day.
Islam is victim consciousness. Think about it. The prophet was a victim according to Islam the prophet was abused and slandered and had trash thrown at him. Muslims have to imitate the prophet in all things. So to be a victim is righteous.
Pure gold ✨️ 💛

The most difficult part for the human being is accepting it as destiny. The wisdom behind destiny must be something immense.
Bless you.... Alhamdulillah for this realisation..I will fight with it.. Insha'Allah..may Allah be on my side..Ameen

Increased awareness of oppression is not the equivaldnt of victim mentality
