6:48 - This moment is poetic because this is what Susie said to Kris when she threatened to beat him up back when they first met. Now, when the King says it to Kris, it's like Susie is seeing herself, and in the back of her mind she's realized that she was no different from the King not too long ago; that this was who she once was. Because of this, not only is she upset that her friend is getting hurt, but she's especially angry on a personal level, which you can tell from this being the first time we see both her eyes along with her gritting teeth. So when she attacks, she isn't just lashing at the King, she's lashing at her former self. This moment is meant to remind us of when we first met a character, and to show how they contrast now to back then. A perfect example of textbook character growth, and testament to Toby Fox's writing capabilities! Well done!

I got an ending other than that one. In my ending, Ralsei put the king to sleep, then out of nowhere Lancer urged me to run away while Ralsei showed his face and said goodbye. I wonder if it's because of the fact I actually attacked the king without killing him or the fact Susie previously scared someone away.

From what I've put together, yours was different because you let Susie scare someone away, which is the closest thing to "killing" a monster in Delta Rune. That probably locked you out of this "pacifist" ending shown in the video (although it's clear that one of Delta Rune's themes is that your choices DON'T matter, unlike in Undertale - the endings are quite similar either way.)
Actually, it was Suzy that used pacify, Ralsei even says "I'm impressed you remember my spell". But yeah, this happens if you don't spare other monsters, they don't come to aid you, and you can't go back to say goodbye

Strangely enough Jevil warns the Trio of a nightmare awakening in their hearts and how he and the King mentions a Knight.

Anyone else notice the King’s laugh right before the fight is a deeper version of Susie and Lancer’s “evil” laugh? This shows that the King is truly evil.
When in battle with King, you're able to CHECK him and, if you do, you learn that he turned this way upon being abandoned by the Lightners ("Abandoned by the Lightners, his heart became cracked with hatred."). I believe that, like Lancer, King can be turned good, only in a later chapter. The Knight, though... HE'S truly evil.
I love that although you control Kris and interact with the world through his point of view, it's ultimately the the side characters that have the most development. Ralsei learns to fight, Susie learns to be merciful, and Lancer learns to step up to his abusive father. Really makes you think.

D3LTA RUN3 Gaster is more like the damn creator of the world. His theme is mixed in over half the theme songs of delta rune When you are creating “a vessel” Im pretty sure it’s Gaster speaking. And one of his followers counterpart can be found in delta rune.
I don't think the King is really evil. To me, it seems more that he's just so convinced that the Lightners are evil that he just won't listen to anything anyone says. Notice how immediately after tricking them and gaining the upper hand again, he goes to Kris and immediately assumes that they still want to condemn them, and when the crowd lifts him up and is holding him, he tries to tell them that the Lightners are their enemies.
Also, instead of outright disposing of Lancer as soon as he realized he didn't hate the Lightners, he actually took the time to talk to him, and attempted to change his mind. He could have just tossed him off the roof to begin with, so he didn't, so that shows there's at least SOME semblance of care King has for his son.

literally, on my first playthrough, without spoiling it for myself, i called 6:09 never heal the enemy, ralsei. even if you play pacifist. they will always come back to bite you
I liked the king because he's the only character in this whole universe (perhaps except for Flowey or genocide run Frisk) who's truly evil and that we can all hate, without feeling bad about it. Someone who's just pure evil, with, so far at least, no redeeming qualities? You don't feel bad about fighting him and hurting him. That feels great! Someone who really deserves it.
Not only that, but also the fact that he just didn't go like "Oh I lost, yea lol lets be friends" That's what I was missing in Undertale. Everyone is friendly. No one was kinda backstabbing you.

Everybody is comparing chaos king to asgore but they dont realize that chaos king was supposed to BE asgore. Asgore was depicted as this merciless and cruel monster bent on freeing monsters from the underground and exacting his vengeance and wrath to the people above.
That he does. Lancer was only scary and intimidating while shrouded in shadow. But King… he stayed that way. And only really gets silly while at the mercy of his own Rudinns and Hathies.
Why does king's dialogue make it feel like the original lighteners trapped them underground,which caused king to become a bad guy and lose it. Maybe the lighteners are at fault.

This guy has taught the Undertale fandom that mercy is not always the answer, you can't just expect the big boss to fall to his knees if you beg, that's why I like this guy so much.
So! To get this ending, you have to warn all enemies you come across about Susie attacking. This doesn't include neither K. Round battles though, nor does it include the battle with Lancer (even though Susie is on her own) Once you reached the castle you need to go into the rooms with doorways liked a Diamond, a Heart and a Spade. Then you have to go talk to all the monsters there. The monsters should forgive you. Talk to *ALL* of them, just to be sure. Then you should be able to fight the king and get this ending.
@Ash_9115 It happen if you attacked someone (only if you make them flee , attacking them won't ruin your pacifist run if they didn't flee ) you also need to warn everyone about Susie when she first join your team , either way you'll get the sleepy king ending
There are no official 2 endings to the game, but there are 2 endings to the boss fight. In the pacifist route, the king will get overthrown by his enemies, and if you do neutaral or genocide (even though genocide can't really be done since monsters run away before you can kill them) ralsei will put a sleeping spell on him. BUT, no matter what route you take, you will always get the same ending to the game.

The king has been abandoned and was depressed over this, a stranger appears telling him to rule this stranger can do what the lightners can, this stranger can help you, this is all the lightners fault, lock away those who oppose us and kill the lightners. Sounds a bit like what Hitler said to trick a country.
Anyone else notice that Susie doesn’t smile when idle/attacking? I think the only time that happens is during the part where Lancer misses in Susie vs Lancer and this fight. God dammit toby
5:57 I don’t know how people think Ralsei is secretly evil when this part exists. If he actually had any nefarious intent, this would’ve been an absurd gamble for him to make just to fool the people who clearly trust him already. I’m certainly not opposed to the idea that Ralsei lied to us in some way back in Castle Town, but I don’t believe at all that he’s actually the bad guy here. The way his naïveté and way of getting flustered around Kris is presented comes off as very sincere. It’d be repetitive for some version of Asriel to be the twist villain again anyways.

I liked the king because he's the only character in this whole universe (perhaps except for Flowey or genocide run Frisk) who's truly evil and that we can all hate, without feeling bad about it. Someone who's just pure evil, with, so far at least, no redeeming qualities? You don't feel bad about fighting him and hurting him. That feels great! Someone who really deserves it.

So! To get this ending, you have to warn all enemies you come across about Susie attacking. This doesn't include neither K. Round battles though, nor does it include the battle with Lancer (even though Susie is on her own)
Once you reached the castle you need to go into the rooms with doorways liked a Diamond, a Heart and a Spade. Then you have to go talk to all the monsters there. The monsters should forgive you. Talk to *ALL* of them, just to be sure.
Then you should be able to fight the king and get this ending.
Don’t scare away any enemies. Lancer round 1 doesn’t count. Do this for the pacifist ending.

@Ash_9115 It happen if you attacked someone (only if you make them flee , attacking them won't ruin your pacifist run if they didn't flee ) you also need to warn everyone about Susie when she first join your team , either way you'll get the sleepy king ending

There are no official 2 endings to the game, but there are 2 endings to the boss fight. In the pacifist route, the king will get overthrown by his enemies, and if you do neutaral or genocide (even though genocide can't really be done since monsters run away before you can kill them) ralsei will put a sleeping spell on him. BUT, no matter what route you take, you will always get the same ending to the game.

5:57 I don’t know how people think Ralsei is secretly evil when this part exists. If he actually had any nefarious intent, this would’ve been an absurd gamble for him to make just to fool the people who clearly trust him already. I’m certainly not opposed to the idea that Ralsei lied to us in some way back in Castle Town, but I don’t believe at all that he’s actually the bad guy here. The way his naïveté and way of getting flustered around Kris is presented comes off as very sincere. It’d be repetitive for some version of Asriel to be the twist villain again anyways.
But its all just a THEORY
I think he genuinely means well, but has an ulterior motive. Sort of like Lancer does when he “joins” your team.
