- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- In todays video we are making good use of a demo amazone za-v fertiliser spreader and getting all our ground spread from our winter crops to silage manure, lime application and nitrogen for grazing ground. and what we've found using it is there is serious money to be saved with the machine as there no longer is any over or under spreading of fields
Hope you enjoy, any questions hit me down in the comments below, thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe for more. Videos every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Yet again another fantastic video Phil, keep them coming!!!
Father Phil may get the check book out, he’s taking a liking to that spreader 😂
We just love your videos when Father Phil on them we find him so interesting he's so knowledgeable. We will enjoy watching this later on a SUNDAY treat .God Bless peace ☮️☮️ we love Ireland as well.Thank you for all you do .🌹🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
You may apply for that grant quick Phil. Great to see yous getting kit like this to try out..... its a sign you have hit the big time. I hear Adrian (Ifarm wefarm) is starting to do vintage Thursdays. Yous are all vintage mad 😉
I remember spreading with a 5 bag spreader 250kgs at a time o how time's have changed. Fine machine
Great video for another wet and windy Sunday .🚜🇮🇪☘️
Great video phil, good to see Father phil in the video.
Quick tip Phil when your loading the fert always have the bag right back to the back of the pallet fork because when thay slide like they did at the start the side of the pallet fork will cut the loop on the bag like a knife
Omg .....what a fantastic piece a kit lads.....I know and have seen the GPS in use for mowing etc but for the life a me I don't know why ye don't all have one if the grants are there phil..!!!......be a better purchase in the long term than another vintage machine boys? ???????? Food for thought ....👍👍
A great show of faith to let you put out the manure. The only job me, and i'm sure a lot of farmer's children are still not allowed do 😂
Tis common place
If you are able to get the grant the savings you are making on fertiliser would hopefully pay for the spreader in a few years, now you just have to get father Phil on board with the idea. But I guess we will see that in the round up video for the spreader
You cant use Round up in those crops.
@@claesmansson9070 I don't mean "round up" the expensive version of glyphosate I am on about the final review video about the spreader also known as a round up of information
@@HootMaRoot Ok,allready round up videos on those spreaders, both the Amazone ZAM (Cotland farm)and newer ZAP models with weighing cells, think called farmhand or farmland, coming up if you search Amazone on yt.
Love the drone footage! 👌
I see you're using the debt collection knife.
Next step, variable application to yield. That's where the real money is saved.
Hi Phil and father Phil loving the videos. I suppose you'd need a lot of acres to justify buying one even with the grant list price is over €25000 I think you'd need to be using it for hire!!!
25k nearly had a heart at6ack
@@michaelgalvin6491 with the price of beef today that is not 2 bad
Jersey boys lovely looking calves, adds a bit of colour amongst all that black and white. Sorry you lost BamBam. I know nothing about machinery but the fertiliser spreader sounds the business and saved you all that cash too. Enjoyed the video.
Fert is only gonna get more expensive each year it wouldn't be long paying for itself with the tams grant aswell
25k some lad said there 🙈
@@michaelgalvin6491 it would be worth it still, in one field 25 acres or whatever he said it was he saved a ton of fertiliser, if they spread 500 acres of land with it (which they would easily I reckon), in theory that would save them 20 tonnes of fert saving them in the region of 6000-8000 depending on the price per ton in their area
3 years and the spreader has paid for itself with the fert it has saved
@@jerryodriscoll3691 twud save that alright twud alright U r right there now when ya look at it dere . What r u at your self atm ground is still very wet round here in Longford
@@michaelgalvin6491 not much at the moment a few cows calving soon and hopefully get our fertiliser spread too this week, in the process of digging out the area we keep our bales in aswell and drawing in stone to fill it in as over the winter the field went to complete shite altogether
Its not as bad here in Cork though weather wise compared to some of the rest of the country
Can't knock father phils honesty over letting Eric loose with new fert spinner
Dat gosoon has no interest he a gamer
Nice video Phil. You'd be mad not to buy that yoke given the acerage you farm. Looking forward to the review.
Hi 👋 friend interesting video 📹 awesome spreader keep the great videos coming and please keep safe friend ps father Phil very smart man 🙂
Great video Phil. They are a super spreader
Father Phil and Farmer Phil - I hope you purchase that spreader. Seems to save both money and time. I'm sure it would be even more efficient if you use auto steer on a tractor and pre-map every field (one time task) and only touch the steering wheel at headlands. The integration of technology on the farm is the way to go. If you get the fields fertility tested then the spreader can apply variable rates of fertiliser to make applying fertilisers more efficient with the benefit of both better yields and further cost savings to be had.
That’s a neat setup but nothing beats the 35x double wheels with a 700l shaker
Love the video phil
Phil, just before you mentioned farming safely, I was cringing looking at you standing between the loader tractor and the spreader as your dad was inching forward slightly. I don't want to sound like the martyr but it's those simple oversights that can go badly wrong. Stay safe.
i was thinking exactly the same thing , all it takes is a mucky boot to slip off a well worn clutch pedal and you are going home in a bag .
U will have to get one Phil
Some machine Phil, I'd say it'd be worth ye trying to strike a deal if you've time yet to avail of the young farmer Tams grant! If ye ever found time could do some fertiliser spreading on hire too 👀
Great revue
Another super video. Very impressive piece of kit.
re bonjour encore une super vidéo , bon courage a vous pour la suite 😍👍👍👍👍
Congratulations to Lizzie and yourself Cammy. Parenthood, I think sheep will be easier.
Hi Phil, I hope you will be doing a video on the planting of the family vegetable garden this year including the potatoes.
We will be yes

That's a dangerous looking weapon your dad has in his hand there phil

Farming with modern technology, that's the job. Some job Phil 💪🏼
Phil with all the savings are ye going to purchase the spreader or one like it?
Would be interested to know how many tonnes of fertilizer you saved by using the spreader over all your fields/crops.
Father Phil the legend 😎😎
I like it Phil farming is a dangerous past time am learning that since da it now about.Phil what about the GPS kits you can buy would they be a good job
Looks like it the spreader would soon pay for itself especially if you can use it contracting
phil it will pay for itself
Great information video well done 👍
Great video phill
Good video. Will you do a video on an update of all them various chickens you hatched? They shud be big now, Or did I miss it?
Wow that's some job 😊
Interesting
Looks like Amazon is a good buy - u could get more contracting acres with that tool? How are you getting your distances right on the grassland? GPS?
The money you save it’s well worth you buying it ? 🇮🇲👍
Great stuff Phil. Top machine.
Will ye purchase?
Jersey bulls are lovely wee things
There waste of space
Fair play to ye now boys mebbe ask Dave Borland for a deal on that yoke twill pay u back later
Will you ever go for a agiquip dribble bar
Well ya buy ? Huge savings
Was it livs calf that died
Great spreader well worth the money....but I don't like the split bins would rather one whole unit myself.
It is one hopper just split at the bottom 🤔
@@malcolmtyler2565 he means that one side might run out of fert while there could still be another 100kgs in the other, the single opening is better in my opinion and if it could be got with a chopper in the bottom instead of those grids aswell would be much better
Now you have it lad that excatly my point, I prefer to use a single bin spreder especially on hilly ground and that yano
@@wallm1206 id even prefer a wagtail spreader to a split bin disc spreader and that's saying something 🤣
The savings in fertiliser will pay for the spreader doing the amount acreage yere doing each year
Good video🤠
Nice wee animals bud
Can I have the Massey with the loader😂😂😂
Are ye throwing to yere tracks Phil
Nice video 😀👌
How do she spread over the far end of the spread pattern? Speeds up disk speed?
The man that died was it the vintage ploughing man
The man with the county tractors yes
Great vid
Quick question for father Phil if a fergie 20 is a tvo which is it a te 20 or Ted 20 or what
Nice one Phil.. Father Phil let's u loose on the spinner. So is he letting u loose on the Jag this season?
I’d highly doubt it😂
@@FARMERPHIL3690 Haha .. it took till I was 30 before I was allowed a shot on my dad's.. and then it was only one trailer 😂
That lorry tho
have ye considered buying the amazone phil?
Was it local machinery dealer that supplied it wood like to get some more information on the spreader
We got it off farm hand and if you contact them they'll put you in touch with your nearest dealer
@@FARMERPHIL3690 thanks
That is some piece of kit
👍
Would you consider getting auto steer if you were going to buy something like this
I would yes just have to convince father Phil
@@FARMERPHIL3690 😂😂 they are a great job when you get used to it
Id say ye wud probly get a lot of work in ur area spreading fertiliser for other farmers. If ye bought the machine. When they hear about the GPS.
Plot twist .... it was all washed out today... seriously though some piece of kit
Sorry Phil what's your dad's name, loved the spreader
Derek
I wounder phil would a towed 1 be better for ye
If you buy a spreader and other bits of tools with gps. Would you think about gps on tractors
I’d like to see how I’m all the tractors someday
Can you feed whole milk instead of milk replacer through the automatic calf feeders or would the whole milk go off?
You can with the JFC auto feeder anyway I know that for definite, dunno about their urban autofeeder
Ok thanks
👍
@@cillianclarke6230 no bother lad, I would assume that most brands of auto feeders have the ability to do it
Ok thanks I would not know much about them they just seem to be a good job
Much kilos in those bag?
Half tonne bags id say so 500kgs
How much is it north of 10k
