young bearded vulture learns to fly - 1st day . Gypaète barbu 1er jour de vol

finally the young bearded vulture has decided to leave the nest and fly !
Yesterday July 2nd he was still in the nest for all the hours I observed .
When I arrived july 3rd early afternoon he was already out of the nest so I presume he jumped out for his first flight sometime in the morning hours or around noon or so.
but he did not fly far, he was in the immediate surroundings, in the rocks and cliffs.
His mother was still there, frequently joining him, feeding him, inviting him to fly, teaching him about his new life.
filmed from quite a distance with a 170-500mm Sigma zoom lens and Canon EOS 80D ... and additional digital cropzoom .
