Hey UNITED BY TRUCKS all im just gonna say is that original genuine bench seats look way better on classic c10's suburbans bucket seats look hecka gay and ugly ruins the look bench seats rule that's my opinion what do you think
I have a friend that had an '87 this same color. We use to cruise around in our square bodies all the time. I still have mine and he has another one now. In my opinion, these were the best looking trucks ever made.
This has to be one one of the best looking trucks I've ever saw. Everyone has different tastes but a shade darker red with cream and this would straight up be my dream truck.
Rusty Wrenches Thanks, Naw you can still find them out there kinda reasonable, man your truck is super nice too.., I’ve had mine for 22 years now, I had a ‘67 C10 before I got it, but back then I guess 24 years ago I couldn’t find anything hardly for it like you can now..., I miss it too.
Ive never been much of a square body guy, but after seeing Rick and Jeremy's c10's.....my goodness, now I may be looking for one! Nice trucks guys. Great channel, I just subscribed!
LOVE the truck..I have an identical twin to it i just painted same color. Love to see a step by step down and dirty budget how to LS swap a square like this one someone like me and many others with the skills could do at home in our garages. Love the content and the channel. Keep it square!!!!!
Man, that's awesome! That color scheme look amazing on a square, as you know. And that's a great idea about the LS swap. Future episode material at some point.
You guys were on PowderSprings Rd in Marietta, I lived across the street from Jim Miller park on Callaway, where the North Georgia fair is held every year. I live off Floyd road now. Lol
Man, now I have to get things back together and get back on my channel and get my squarebody back on track! Thanks for the motivation!!!! New subscriber!!
Nice truck. I started buying these up a few years ago when nobody wanted them. I have 2 left, one to build and a beater I daily. Now every one of them in my area is priced 3xs what it's worth. Got the one I'm building now cheap a few years ago.
I LOVE THE BENCH SEAT AND THE BED OF THIS TRUCK AND THE MOTOR I'M FROM TYLER TEXAS AND I AM A TRUE TRUCK GUY ESPECIALLY THE 87 SQUAR BODY TRUCKS THEY ARE THE BEST LOOKING TRUCK OUT THERE AND ALL ORIGINAL I JUST LOVE THAT YEAR MODEL BLACK IS MY FAVORITE COLOR.
Did you mention what transmission he was running? Nice video and nice truck!! I live in GA myself and have an all original 86 C10 Silverado, love these trucks!!
This is my favorite tuck on the channel. I also have a1986 c10 shortbed i am doing a ls swap with a 6.0 and 4l80 . Just wondering what radiator rick is using in his truck? Thanks Matt
Rick has done a great job with it! To see his latest upgrades, you can check out his projects page at www.sqrbdy.com. He's made some pretty significant upgrades since this video.
Haha! That's me ALL THE TIME, but I feel like it's important for viewers to have a glimpse into what it takes to make this stuff happen. I'm having a blast!
Sweet! The difficulty is all relative. What makes it easier are the right parts and a good plan for execution so that once you do all the work it fires right up and is ready to go.
man thanks so much to list all the wheels info. you the legend. now I have one more question, I found 1970 c10 and i would like to know what it is my options to lower it in bother spring or in air with prices
Hermen Lomas thanks, man! My truck partner and I have a 73 c20 that I’ve shown a quick glimpse of in another video, but no plans for another just yet. I’m still working on my green truck and have another build planned after that. Teddy, my green 68, is ls swapped and i love it. Got some updates coming to it very soon.
I know he has swapped wheel setup since this video, but I love that setup/stance it is perfect and wanted to pair that with my 86 c10. I know y’all covered rear tire specs but Is there anyway to find out what size front tire he is running. Thanks
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I have an 87 Square; getting finishing touches on LQ4 Swap; currently I have stock oil pan; interested in doing a drop on truck; I used Trans-Dapt 4205 mounts for my swap. Oil pan hangs slightly below crossmember; what might be a best drop without changing oil pan?
I don't know exactly, but the gauges after a certain year in the squarebodies have electric gauges (like speedo) and I believe you can just use an adapter to transmit the signal.
I have an 83 and it's the Silverado and I'm not sure if its electric or cable but this is the same set up that I'm wanting to do . Is your garage in the state of ga.
Love the trucks , have my dads old 74 GMC we are starting on, curious about LS swapping it, one question I have are you able to keep all the factory gauges operating with an LS? Love the channel, thanks.
You can but have to purchase the VSS adapter for speedo and convert your gauges to electric, which the later squarebodies are. '74 would still be mechanical. You would certainly still be able to get voltage, oil pressure, etc with minimal adaptation.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I know its brutal, new marijuana law is saposed to help with that but we shall see if they hold up there end of the bargain. Just got ab old truck and with Michigan roads and our lovely Michigan cancer really dont want her to fall apart going down the road haha
American Racing doesn't make these "off-the-shelf" wheels in 22. I imagine they can be had from their custom shop in 22. That said, the diameter of the wheel is only one small part of the puzzle. The width in conjunction with the backspacing is very important. For that, you can get an idea from someone else's truck, but you'll likely need to measure.
Good morning sir I like your truck. I would like to ask some questions, I have a 1986 Chevy c10 I wanna swap an engine also I wanna put a 6.0 on it , Can you tell me if I have to use the same rear end, and can kind of fuel pump are u using??

What brand drop kit/shackles did he use? Did he have to mod his tubs?
Either DJM or Western Chassis suspension components. And no mods to tubs at all.
You said he took it to car shows on the very front of the hood right above the grill is the paint peeling
Patina. Don't need shiny paint to win awards at truck shows.
So I get nervous on the frames integrity when I see all these notches done has anyone had a frame fail after a major notch for the flip kit
Not one that's done right, but still, i've never even heard of one failing. And there are likely hundreds of thousands of trucks that have notches.
