- Photoshop tutorial on how to create an amazing 3D text effect using the mixer brush tool.

This video shows the process of a 3D-style text effect but also the use of some other techniques like adding shadows, highlights, shines, colors etc. and lots of Photoshop tools in order to create the final result, from Mixer brush and pen tool to clipping masks and adjustment layers.
I suggest using a pen tablet like Wacom Intuos because it really helps to create smoother lines and curves.

This is incredibly simple! I do have a question: I am finding that my brush has a perfect in-focus image of my sample area, where yours is nicely blurred. This effect sorta ruins the finished piece for me. Where can I find this in my brush settings?
Hi! I think this has to do with the mix settings at the top bar. So if you adjust the amount of mixture of the brush with the background that should be it. Let me know if that didn't help to look into it more. 😊

Hi, are you on a mac or pc? because it is different button in each device. Also is the mixer brush tool selected when you are trying to load the brush color?

do you use another brush preset or is it the inbuilt one ??
On this video is the default one, and if I’m not wrong it should be just a plain circle brush. On other videos I may use some other extra packs.

Yes, it is easier with it.
This would look nicer if you was to uniform the size of the letters with ruler guides or something..
I will keep that in mind but regarding the size of the letters, they should be about 1000 pixels tall each, as long as the total artboard height is 3000.
See I’m referring to uniformity here, you know when all the vertical, horizontal and curved sections of the letters have the same scale / ratio..
