I wish they had teamed up with both Scheider and Wopat for an epic showdown with Hogg and Roscoe in the episode that had both Bo and Luke returning, but alas both Coy and Vance took off from Hazzard and were never seen again. Coy and Vance should have come back for the 1st reunion film done back in 1997. It would have given some better closure for their characters and it would have been awesome seeing all 4 of the guys together taking on Mama Max and her gang.

I give Vance & Coy credit for keeping Bo & Luke's car seat warm including encouraging Catherine/Daisy not to walk out on the sitcom because of the sudden ratings going down hill. The Duke's of Hazard wasn't ready to fall apart over money disputes. Have some respect for Vance & Coy. Christopher Mayer died too young...he was a looker with those 80's beautiful big blue eyes & jet black hair. R.I.P.-Christopher Mayer.

I was only 11 years old when they starred on the show. Because MR. Mayer died at such a young age, I was worried that he might have committed suicide. but I soon learned that he died of natural causes. RIP MR. Mayer.

True I didn't like the characters of Coy and Vance but I did like Christopher. He was a good actor and I do have respect for him. It was a very hard task ahead of them, they could never have replaced John and Tom but they didn't do a bad job. He will be missed.
