First up, Jordan takes you through unboxing of his baby and goes over the details, and then to stretch her legs, we cut over to Dave Abeles' stellar Onondaga Cutoff layout where whole family (and Bobby!) get in on the action!

Took a few trips on these on the Empire Corridor from NYC to Albany back in the early 80's. Those were the days they departed out of Grand Central Terminal usually Track 24 or 25. Instead of Penn Station today. The run up the Hudson River is one of the most scenic routes on Amtrak!

I don't store my Turboliner in the included box anymore as I have a carrying case to bring it to and from the club, but the box art is so nice that I'm keeping it displayed. Now all Dave needs to complete the Amtrak roster of the 1990s on the Empire Corridor is a GP40TC...also the Amtrak-specific MK rebuild FL9s would sometimes show up west of Albany but you'd probably see a GP40TC on 63 and 64 far more often
We’d be a VERY happy camper with a GP40TC! The FL-9 is also on the roster with a few F40PH’s

I was thinking the same thing! A Renaissance inspired livery would have looked superb!
Of course one could paint VIA colors over the Amtrak Phase 3 striping 😏😁
Those couplers are a really cool feature! Might be a good idea to consider those for future passenger car releases… hint hint!

Absolutely amazing model I purchased the phase 3 late with an extra 6th car and this baby drives like a dream! Do the marker lights on the coaches actually work? I didn’t see any lighting pieces near the end of the coaches when I was adding passengers.
