Dweezil Zappa is the most underrated guitarists on the planet! he can play anything!!!
Maybe because his dad was Frank and knew some good guitar teachers?
But that's actually a handicap he can play like everyone else but doesn't have his own sound or personality stamped on his playing

Dweezil please the most spot on version of eruption I have heard! You must hear him tell the story of Eddie teaching him how to play it for his high school "show and tell". It's on you tube. It's priceless! Full service Eddie Van Halen! Eddie went to the talent show, got in stage to coach Dweezil
He actually went home and got one of his own guitars when Dweezil's wouldn't stay in tune! That's what I call full Eddie Van Halen service! (Lol)! Dweezil said Eddie was the first person to call when his father died. That tells me that EVH is a high quality person, not just a rock superstar!

Yes he did....Eddie was friends with frank Zappa.. Eddie taught Dweezil was he was 12 all his tricks and technique....even went to his highschool talent show and gave him on of his guitars and Dweezil still has it....

David lee Sloth sings much better than D.L.R does now. Eddie should have hired him to do those reunion tours that Roth embarrasingly tried to sing himself. The mans voice was great in his prime but has not aged well at all!

Really dude??.. Dweezil is best friends and padawan to Eddie van Halen...Eddie seen it and also thought it was funny...if Eddie didn't like it he would've told Dweezil about it and Dweezil wouldn't be doing that anymore out of respect to his guitar Jedi master..
Why? Seems kinda foolish to go here in a Zappa plays Zappa show. We know Dweezil loved Ed and VH,,,, Frank had zoo much music. Would of loved to hear a Johnny Guitar Watson tune, that was Franks favorite guitar player. That would make sense, Still sounded good though, just an opinion.
Dweezil tells the story before playing this live that Eddie Van Halen came to their home to see Frank when DZ was a teen. Dweezil was a HUGE Van Halen fan and asked his Dad if it would be ok for him to ask Eddie some questions about ERUPTION> EVH picked up a guitar and played it for him, giving him a lesson along the way. So there is the rhyme and reason for it, Dave Manley.
But I think if Frank was alive he would be having a pop at all the overblown reunion shows as well.
It would have made sense for Frank. But Dweezil didn't grow up with Johnny Guitar Watson dd he. He grew up with Van Halen!
