The other major plus point for Krieghoff is the superb back up service. Servicing costs are very reasonable and the work by Krieghoff UK is first class. The price of new guns is a major issue, particularly with the arrival of the new Blaser FBX, but the K80 in all its iterations makes a really good buy second hand in its sector of the market, especially with a service history from Alan Rhone.
@@evroadtrips689 My K gun friends are always sending their’s back every year or two for service. My DT11 has never needed any parts replaced or a trip to Beretta
Looking for k80 super sport myself, it just the prices second hand are still 8k + what just out size my pocket Will keep looking for it 👍 Great review 👍
As someone who has put thousands of cartridges through my first k80 120k in 3yrs my first one and 20k through my second one over the last 3 or 4 yrs both 2nd hand they are a cracking gun the service is excellent and any up dates they do them so even an old gun is like new inside
Hey man very beautiful review i can feel how much u enjoyed shooting with it. One critical question which shotgun u would prefer k80 or DT 11 since u have tried both. Thanks hoping to hear from u soon
Kreighoff balance and shoot like nothing else you can have a 9.5lb high rib trap gun that balances like a 7lb game gun the trigger pulls are better then anything I’ve ever shot
It’s still a Remington 32, no chrome lined barrels, blueing problems, top latch will open at some point when you shooting. Great shooting gun just way too much money for what you get .
Every one to their own opinion but Remington 32? Have you ever compared the mechanism of the Remington 32 side by side to a K-80? They are nothing like each other and I don’t think there is a single part in common now. Externally they look similar but that is where it ends.
I bought one recently as it was always an aspirational gun to own. I ended up hating it and much prefer my CG Invictus, a case of “don’t meet your heroes”.😢
nice to see honest feedback, i am yet to try one but everyman and his dog has one now. There must be some county lines gang im not in because for such a pricey gun they're everywhere.
@@silvershroud9291I have a Perrazi MX8, a K-80,K-32 and a Blaser F3. The K guns are my favorite for recoil but I shoot the Blaser the most because I have all 4 barrels for it. However the F-3 has the most recoil
@ recoil seems to be a gun fit issue more than anything, especially at that level, any chance that it is off on that gun? Nice other options open to you though!
Of course a heavy shotgun 8.75 lbs is going to have less recoil than a 6.8 lb shotgun. Especially when you run 1 oz/. 1200 fps loads in it compared to 1 1/8 oz/ 1300 fps loads. Difference in recoil is 32 foot lbs vs 16 foot pounds...a huge difference...half the recoil! Apples to apples they all have the same recoil if guns weigh the same. Just get a heavy gun and a good recoil pad, if you want a low perceived recoil experience, shoot lower velocity/.weight shells as well. Manufacturers and Dealers don't want buyers to know this information.
However a light weight gun bored correctly can handle recoil just as well as a heavy gun bored incorrectly. Weight and cartridge velocity isn’t the be all and end all of recoil
Question: two correct bores guns , one 3 kg and one 4kg which one has less recoil ? Considering using the some 28 gr ammunition. Nice videos by the way.
@@kostaschatzianastasisas stated above you could have a 4kg gun that’s poorly bored that produces a lot of recoil and muzzle flip and 3kg bored well that delivers recoil smoothly. There is no right or wrong answer to this. Weight is a factor but also is the boring of the gun
@@roymartingunsmiths814 elongated forcing cones, another gunsmith alchemy magic trick with zero facts to back up lower recoil. Yes, may help a little with pellet deformation. Yes, over-boring will help recoil since you are sacrificing velocity with explosive charge bypassing the wad on the sides...again alchemy magic...just use lower velocity shells.
Excellent swings on the 0:50 pair!
Easy to screw those up and miss high
Bang on about the palm swell, always thought the same 👍

They have great after care service
I have 3 and absolutely love em. They are a cracking shotgun.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Beretta win shooting competitions, Krieghoff win engraving competitions.
Well if you are going to raz k80 guys,”Beretta owners buy new Berettas every 8-10 years. K80 owners buy the gun for life!” I bought my K80 for life.
@ that’s why they are all shooting K32 and not K80s…….or is more like beretta builds new guns and improves, not one gun every 50 years.

seemed to fit you really well! Good genuine video. They are beautiful guns and would be in the mix if i were to spend that kind of money
Thank you 🙏🏼

That’s a hard one! I love the beretta barrel technology but I definitely felt more at one with the K80
It looks like you have pro sporter barrels with parcours stock and forend, correct?
Pro sport barrels have an adjustable rib that’s a bit higher those are a fixed rib set .
Pretty does not break targets!
Might not but that gun did both
Mate, were you shooting light loads? That gun had virtually no visible recoil for you and it even sounded like a lower gauge.
I was shooting Pro One and sovereign Parcours, both 28g punchy competition loads
Kreighoff balance and shoot like nothing else you can have a 9.5lb high rib trap gun that balances like a 7lb game gun the trigger pulls are better then anything I’ve ever shot
Couldn’t agree more
Smoked some of those clays ed
Thanks buddy 🙏🏼

Good looking piece of kit, costly shotgun.
If you look at the history, it’s just a glorified Remington 32. Too many individual parts in it…..
weird why that sporter has a parcours stock ,..
Supposedly it’s a popular combo overseas.

@@matthartshorn9483 The trigger pulls. I got a severe case of the “yips” whenever I used it, trigger freezes. No idea why.
