Im Rebuilding my 7MGE later this year. Gonna actually Build the GE and not Boost it. With everyone going Turbo i want N/A Power and instant response not Turbo lag. Starting with Custom CNC Cams, Crank, Bore and Stroke to 3.2L 10-12.1:1 Comp Forged Pistons 900cc injectors, Custom Alumi Intake with a dual Throttle plate Throttle body from a 4v 4.6. and a Custom dual Exhaust.
For your own good trust me and DO NOT BUILD A 7MGE! They are NO where as good as the turbo models. I know b/c I have a N/A mk3 and an 89 Toyota Cressida with a N/A 7m. They don't have N/A power which is why they are not a house hold name for performance engines, only the turbo ones can make power. If you spend $10,000-$15,000 on that 7mge without a turbo you will be lucky to make 260rwhp. NO JOKE!

Great car :-) Got my 91 absolutely stock and it ran only 50.000km so far. So glad I have a good mechanic at Toyota as a friend to maintain the superb condition.
His daily driver 7M puts down 450-500whp day after day, week after week :-)

i was going through the list pricing parts just cause, and was like 'oh, these are actually really attainable' then i got to the rods........
The amount of custom stuff that Duane had put into this car is insane. I was fortunate enough to live about 15 minutes from this car back when Duane had it. Thing was a monster.
I was actually at this event when Duane made his 1000HP pull. Duane had me sit on the back for weight lol.

swap 2jz or 1jz. this guy had close to 100 thousand invested into the car

7M has always been capable. Never had gasket issue. This engine has been in the car for years.

I am pretty sure that custom manifold is where the jz sound comes from. 7m cars usually sound like mail trucks until the factory manifold is replaced with something equal length. Any thoughts?

Hey Duane, Does your company still make custom kits for mk3 Supra's? I'm finally rebuilding my 7m and the only part I want to be unique mostly is the outside. I know you did a fabulous job with your front bumper, etc.... But If you still read these post please comment and lmk if you still make custom kits or even pieces. I don't have a facebook ( BOOO!!!) There is this red Mk3 supra that 900 hp and apparently hold the record for Fastest Qtr mile i think its about 8.35 seconds. Think its a 1jz. Its on youtube site StanceAutoworks. Like to see this wjite mk3 take down the red one.

joey gutierrez well im sure it will since the 7m platform produces much more torque at lower rpms and rides the torque curve much better
Yes oh wait the 1j is a 2.5 and the 7m is 3.0. You get more torque from more displacement. 350hp 1j vs 350 7m= 7m winning all day because it has more torque. The 1jz-gte just revs higher to about 8,000 that's it. 7m All day
joey gutierrez it's not about the engine it's about being the fastest mk3 supra on a qtr mile drag. I'd love to see this 7m knock it down a notch.

what was ur max hp without nitrous all boost and is ur turbo a 76mm or a 74mm if u dont mind me asking as we sorta run similar #s
Should be a GT 4202 with is 74.3mm
Just under 920 but isn't only at 32 PSI. A friend of mine did mid to high 900's on this exact turbo with more boost. I like it the way it is so I left it.
Actually, it was 74.6 so I rounded it to 75. lol

I have raced this car a lot over the years, but only a dozen or so times with this set-up.
I ran a 9 and although I let off and had a crap 60', (since it was a test pass) I got booted for no NHRA license.
A friend with same set-up ran a 9.1@162. He has an 8 in it. I don't plan on racing it a whole lot since my goals are met.
The car hasn't been on full power but I know what it's capable of.

Justus is correct. I have run 9's already and got booted since I have no NHRA license. bahaha It wasn't on full power either.
Rumor has it he's done 9's with that travel carrier too!

What can it do on the Qtr mile. Theres a 900 hp mk3 supra that has the fastest Qtr mile in 8's.

Headgasket issues was the major flaw rod bearings is very close second but once you sort out the oil starvation issue they are not that bad

7Ms are so shit as stock so nobody bothers to do performance parts for them really, the few that do sure knows this and can ask all kinda prices.
Mortal.....I know that's why I'm shocked this one made over 1000whp and held up, that's not what I'm used to seeing. I'm used to seeing these motors pop head gaskets in stock form just because.
Horace Tailor The head gasket specs from the factory are lower than what they should be. Once fixed, the engine is fine. My has an after market gasket and torqued down more than factory. Of course, it has rods, pistons like ANY other car that makes over 1000 rwhp. It has been making this power since 08, and has had many track days, along many cruises like in this video. I drove 500 miles each way which is why you see the Thule on top. lol
