Oh my goodness, it's my Baizhu! For your questions, I mostly use him for exploration on a team of Miko, Kazuha, and Layla and if I do use him in spiral, he gets used as a dps/healer with Tighnari, Ayato, and Miko. I also use a combination of charged and normal attack, basically charged attack until I can't and used normal attacks until I can charge attack again.
Personally, I think it would be better if you focused on one specific part of his kit instead or trying to spread it, but even as a main-DPS, I think Deepwood Memory would still be incredible on him since it hits so often and gives both a Dendro Bonus and shreds enemy Dendro RES, which is universal to his entire kit. If you have any good Crit pieces for Deepwood, that would probably be better for him. I don't have any comments about weapons other than Solar Pearl being a good 4* alternative weapon.
I think DPS Ventis are a lot more common than Kekvin seems to think lol... I run a hybrid EM/ER/Crit Venti and the crit isn't wasted on him. Got a friend who has Skyward on him and plans to go more DPS with him. I think running full EM on Venti could be a waste of his raw DOT and massive skill damage (just my opinion).
pfft fr tho, I've had my venti as dps since day 1 pretty much even tho I have elegy of the end, accidentally got it and now diona has it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The reason why full EM can be better in some teams is because Venti is triggering chain reactions like electrocharge.
If he’s not, then the full damage build does more.
@@tonydai782 I use kazuha for stuff like that, and if I'm ever desperate for smth else similar, I can simply build sucrose! :)
@@__idk__8883 Agreed, I like Venti for CC, big DMG, and ER regen. Sucrose is hands down the best Electro-Charge driver in the game rn (and ig Heizou could be that too but let's be real, skill nuke is more fun)

Because of Stonethresher, the def% on Diluc technically aren’t dead stats.
I was about to say this lol. Like yeah, might not be the most common but the DEF rolls work into Stonethresher turning dead stats into useable ones so over all pretty interesting.
WAIT I CAN SEE THE VISION IN THE DILUC BUILD since they have ittos weapon and def increases their normal or charged atk they have def in their artifacts so it makes their normal/charged atk good!

EM on Klee is of minimal value because of the sheer amount of pyro she has. Unless you’re playing Yelan and Xingqiu (there are better options than Klee here), her vaporizes will be inconsistent, which is why people play her on mono pyro generally.
EM Klee is good for burning or burgeon teams. I run her with Baizhu, Nahida, and Kazuha and she does a lot better with EM that she did with strictly attack. But that’s basically the exception

That Diluc at the end is beautiful, def deserves a higher rating, Defense isn't a dead stat when using Redhorn - Crit rate being 50% doesnt mean missing 50% of crits, every hit has the chance to crit or not crit, your crit rate is your chance of winning the 50/50 per each hit, most characters only need 60-70 crit rate to favor their crits
Umm do you know the math for crits?
It's the most optimal in terms of average dps to go for a 1:2 crit rate to crit damage ratio, you recontextualizing crit rate in terms of 50/50s doesn't change that.
It's true that more balanced stats can lead to higher dps, but the other stats you're talking about aren't crit damage, because crit damage multiplies with crit rate in order to calculate the average increase in damage.
Doing the calculation, a 54.5 to 277.3 ratio gives an average multiplier of ~2.51 times.
A 74.5 to 237.3 ratio gives ~2.77 times.
A 94.5 to 197.3 ratio gives ~2.86 times.
I did some calculations for what one average substat roll will accomplish assuming the current stats:
5% ATK = ~2.25% increase
6.6% Crit DMG = ~1.43% increase
3.3% Crit Rate = ~3.64% increase
I don't know what Diluc's rotations look like, so calculating for Def% on Redhorn is more difficult.
@@tonydai782 I understand the on paper part of thing but the dmg that that 40CD adds more than makes up for that .1 loss
And in this case the Redhorn is a pass through basically adding the effect of 4 piece shin, plus the em, and what other factors are at play, reverse melt/vape/etc. At the end the difference becomes minimal
Adding Rosaria or double cryo adds 15% crit extremely easy and that's just two ways, not counting all the other support options. Hell through Gorou in for more giggles
And this still doesn't account for the in party Defense from the Redhorn passive

My Venti is literally just like that first Venti (except I have C4). Triple crowned, Skyward Harp, over 70% CR and 170% CD, 2000 ATK, Viridescent set. Really fun wiping abyss mobs with Faruzan and Bennett. About 14k burst ticks.
I got a weird one I have a C2 Sara with a R5 Compund bow (Physical damage) and she's on a team with C.6 Yunjin, C6 Rosaria, and C2 Bennete.
My friend has a c1 baizhu and she built him as a dps, when i got baizhu I also built him as a dps, but now he's my solid healer, dps baizhu is real. And is very cool.
11:56 also keqing gives herself 15% crit rate when she does her burst so it would actually be around 55% (obv could still be higher but imo pretty good)

venti doesnt want full em imo, he just does way too much damage with a dps build than with em. even more so if you actually crowned his q or e, youre gonna want to use that atk ratio.

@@teodor08popov54 Klee normal attack range from 5-7k and charged range from 14-16k jumpty dumpy ranged from 11k-20k depending on crits this is against Cryo regisvine and these are without any buffs and Klee burst took nearly half of the Cryo regisvine HP without Klee attacking during her burst

On the diluc the defense kinda matters because of his weapon. So he is making good use of that weapon passive

HARMacyst Baizhu is better on deepwood memories tho... He can use the 15% dendro and dendro shred. Yes the shred can be from a support on DW but still

I'm sorry, but I have to question that Venti mains choices. And no, it's not because they went DPS Venti. It's because they were too indecisive with how they wanted to build him. If you wanted sub-DPS Venti, Elegy or R5 Stringless (If you have them) are still far better than Skyward Harp. But if you wanted Main DPS Venti, what was your plan? Were you going Normal Attack Venti? Or were you going Charged Attack Venti? If Normal (Because Venti C2 reduces Phys. RES), why not go 2 Pale/ 2 Bloodthirsty and use a R5 Compound Bow, R5 Rust, Mitternachts Waltz, Hamayumi, or even Thundering Pulse (If you have any of them)? If Charged, VV isn't good here, because Wanderer's Troupe exists, which gives him EM for Swirls and a better DMG bonus for his Charged Attacks. Also also, as an aside, Slingshot would unironically be good for him as a Charged Attack DPS, because he wants to play close for his C1's shotgun arrows.
Focus and refine that build harder. The cute, alcoholic femboi deserves better. Sorry for the rant. DPS Venti had me excited lmao.
