    I had a a 2013 GT with a Boss302. We added a 90mm TB and did a dyno test before and after the install. The car gained 4hp just bolting it on and 10hp playing with the tune.

    Alex, I love your videos. I appreciate your knowledge of our platform. It's always great to get some reliable information from a pro instead of a wannabe. However, I need more YOLO. We have a whole new crop of kids getting these coyote cars since the prices are dropping. You must have tons of material for silly vids for yolodb. Don't hold out on us! Make a channel for YOLO and keep this one serious. I'll subscribe to both!

    I have the mono blade on my cobra jet set up on my 2011. ive noticed that the mono blade throttle body likes to idle at 1k vs the stock idle.(i drive this thing everyday through snow and everything else NJ has to offer lol). tuning took some time getting bugs worked out with the throttle body and im sure its probably not as smooth as stock,but im no N.D.M.F all in all im happy with how it came out. Keep up the good work! love the videos!

    I'm pretty sold on whatever you tell me to go with after my recent shifter ordeal.
    I had the MGW xspec and my wife hated and I had issues power shifting from 1-2 at times. so I went with the barton hybrid 3 and trans mounted it. it was much better but I figured why not try body mounting it. HOLY Shiiiii, body mount is smooth as silk and I remember you recommending it. Anyway long story short after all that work I wish I listened to your opinion on a shifter almost a year ago and did it right the first time

      I'm having the same issue. Had a GT350 TB & adapter installed with a Steeda CAI and full exhaust system, and drivability now sucks! Seems it's lost a tonne of torque when pulling away from dead stop. Doesn't accelerate smoothly anymore! Might go back to the stock TB and see if it fixes the issue.

    Love the new video format Alex! Quick question, in your opinion, what is the limit of the 47lb injectors that come stock on S550 TVS kit from Ford/Roush? Some tuners are telling me as soon as you run an aftermarket tune, IAT upgrade, BAP etc etc the 47s will run out of capacity up top. Other tuners seem to have no problem turning up a TVS S550 on the stock 47s. Any input on when upgraded injectors are required on a S550 Roush TVS kit would be great! This is on a CA car running 91 octane. No 93, E85 or octane booster. Thanks buddy!

    I went with twin 60s. The gains, at least comparing what I've seen(obviously you would have more input), is around 10-15 whp between the mono blade down to the twin 60s. Not sure 15 whp is worth the extra $440. Love all the videos btw. Tons of info, wish I found these sooner!

    literally just slapped on a cobra jet intake and monoblade and hes exactly right. the monoblade is beast but when you let off the gas, it doesn't stop, it keeps pulling because of the little air gap. not so good in city driving. drivability is eh, very jerky just letting on and off the gas. but WOT is pretty mean. you can hear it eating air

    Love your channel. Great info and advice. I just had a full Hurricane exhaust system installed with long tube headers, Steeda CAI and GT350 throttle body & adapter plus a tune on my 2017 GT. Seems to be hesitating under light throttle when pulling away from the lights. Feels like it's too lean or something, and then suddenly it picks up power. Acceleration isn't as smooth. I suspect it's the bigger throttle body affecting drivability. Might get the shop to install the OEM throttle body back on and see the difference. Do you have any advice here?

    Even thought this is mostly for mustangs, I show this video to anyone wanting to change his throttle body on any modern cars.
    9 times out of 10 the throttle body is already bigger than it need to be. Same shit with my FRS guy tried to say his GT86 would see much bigger gain than me because he went with a bigger one; end result? NADA , both tuned from the same compagny.
    TB upgrades are such an old school thing yet people still believe it when it come to low-mid range power STREET cars.

    Currently, I have the stage 2 power pack from Ford. (Gt350 cold air and throttle body) I bought the gt350 intake manifold, along with 47 lbs injectors, and long tube headers. I'm not bent on using the gt350 tb. I want to use what ever will serve the tuner and I the best. Is it a different story when the cold air, tb, and manifold are made to go together? Or would I be better off with a PMAS, stock throttle body, and an adapter? I'd rather not make the tuner's job a pain in the ass.

    Kind of on the intake subject...i was wondering if you've had any issues tuning centrifugal blowers on the 15-17 gt's with the stock intake manifolds due to the butterflies in the runners...i was contemplating on getting either a paxton or procharger kit and wanted to know if you think I would benefit from getting the cmcv lockouts and I don't wanna spend anymore on a newer intake manifold (boss or gt350) Only reason I ask is because I had a on3 turbo kit on my old 09 gt with the stock intake and had surging issues right at around 3300rpmish and the car would buck/jolt lean for a split second when the runners opened during boost (This would happen even driving at light acceleration and was annoying af!! The car always felt like shit at this point and we tried numerous tunes at the local dyno) ...Anyway, I know this is a completely different car/setup that I'm going with now but I was just wondering if it would be an issue at all or if you've seen any complaints with blower s550s with the stock intake manifold...thanks for your input.

    • @mikeanderson2255
      @mikeanderson2255 5 років тому

      I don't have Alex's expertise or access to data and reports, all I can tell you is what I've experienced. I put an 87mm on my stock manifold with a BAMA canned tune, air raid CAI, X-force variable exhaust, resonator delete and H-pipe. What I've experienced behind the wheel is awesome in every respect. All of this was done in expectation of adding a GT 350 intake manifold and long tube headers. I have the manifold and BBK long tube ceramics laying on my garage floor and plan to put them on over this weekend. I can't wait. After everything is bolted up and driven a bit I will get a dyno and tune and let you know the outcome. The 87mm throttle body was a big improvement over stock IMO and I am hoping to see the same or similar improvements with the Intake manifold and Long tube additions. I have a 2017 GT convertible 6-speed automatic as an everyday driver. I Was considering adding a pedal commander for a little better throttle response to counter the lag I get with the 6-speed auto. Does anyone have any suggestions (based on personal experience)? Thanks Alex. Great videos.
