The one card that I would partner with Lux Artillery: Vexing Puzzlebox (because it does not specifically say +1/+1 counters, you'll only need a few activations to get that 10 damage every end step if you're lucky with die rolls), now we're only missing Pinhead for the Hellraiser fun.
alot of my main cards i use would shut down that deck style, most likely before it gets off the ground pithing needle, stony silence, aura shards, steelbane hydra, gorilla shaman, aberrant, dwarven miner, dwarven blastminer, orcish settlers, pest infestation etc, etc. etc etc. yes my friends played affinity which helped inspire my style.
My ramos deck is one of my favorite decks to play. Its a cascade deck aiming to use fling effects to kill and the only wincon in the deck is possibility storm/drannith magistrate to lock my opponents out of casting spells then just beats. Its pretty savory to punch someone for 15 then fling my tapped dragon at someone right after.
Technically speaking in a 1 color deck you can use this card. If you play it in Magda for example, you can crack treasure for mana outside your pie. Or like if you controlled chromatic lantern in urza deck. You could max sunburst even tho you are In 1 color.
Sunburst was a 5th dawn mechanic that wasn't particularly well received though it was functional many players didn't like it because it had problems with how consistent it was. But what you are doing is basically inconvenient if you don't have lots of lands that produce more than one mana type. Also this type of combination was possible if you were to use an almost identical combos piece in place of the lux artillery. Also you will have infinite green mana as soon as you have any way to increase the number of counters that Ramos enters the battlefield.
Shoutout to Dark Depths. 10 Free counters And as a bonus, imagine the faces of your playgroup when you say: "Oh, i'm not going to make Marit Lage, i just want the counters".
Id love to throw this in my denry klin deck I usually have at least 6 +1/+1s on him + a TON of keyword counters and I can drop another creature on the board then proliferate everything and be dealing a LOT of dmg with just 3 creatures on board
Ramos is fun for me because you can cast a whole bunch of charms and try to win with Door to Nothingness. I don't know if I'd want to make an artifact creature-based Ramos deck.
I use lux artillery fist of suns and timeless lotus in my artifact deck at the house. It's super funny to a actually pull off. For a bit of clarity Lux artillery for sunburst Fist of suns let's me cast my spells by spending one of each color and timeless lotus gives me one of each color. So my 1/1 artifact creatures that cost 1 now hit the field with 5 +1/+1 counters.
@@PhiladelphiaCoIlinsTemur yes ramos no so the combo must be on the field one full turn before you get the full benefit unless you flash temur before your turn
Nice as this is for when you haven't cast Ramos yet, if I already have my Commander out then I don't see this card doing really anything for me. Then again, in the circumstance where it is handy I can potentially just start storming off right away, but I dunno. I wouldn't be against testing it in my own Ramos spellslinger deck, but I'm a little skeptical. Amazing if I can get it off, but we'll see how often I can do that.
I think this be great with skullbriar too even though not a artifact creature but ways to fix that and make him one and since his effect lets him keep his counters even if he gets into the graveyard or to the command zone find a way to build up and transfer his counters to an artifact creature back and forth just in case concern if artifact creature die and lose counter and once he has the needed number to use this card affect to damage other opponents
it's a card you have to build a deck all around it, and still kinda slow or unreliable due to so many other cards required to make it fast enough. i prefer things like: gorilla shaman steelbane hydra dwarven miner dwarven blastminer mine layer orcish settlers aura shards ragavan, the nimble pilferer(it's not a destruction card but it can be with it's card reveal ability happens to reveal a removal spell) aberrant so this deck is full top down possible permanent destruction cards but much faster than lux cannon. so even in this deck, i wouldn't put lux cannon in it. i calll it my jungle permanent destruction deck, even though no permanent destruction, everything comes together to deny opponent permanents in play. each card in deck has high potentiacy of permanent removal without needing other cards . for people wondering, yes my friends did play alot of affinity and for that reason helped inspire this deck.
Ok so one thing to note it does create infinite five color mana because instead of spending 2 green from Ramos spend let’s say a green and a red it’s infinite so sure you create infinite -1 green -1 red but infinite is still infinite
@@mublysnubly3407 There's no reason at all for you to "be smart." Some keywords DO stack. Melee and Exalted being ones I'm presently able to remember. Two instances of Melee on 1 creature means it activates twice.

Im using that on my Space Family Goblinson deck, i can already see some powerful moves
Omg imagine casting Ramos with it on the field!!! The deviousness of that turn would be unmatched😂

I actually have a WUBRG Matters deck that features Sunburst and Converge. My only question is, do multiple instances of Sunburst stack? 🤣🤣🤣

Ok, I know I have a Ramos deck, but that card is literally insane
You would still get infinite green, since you can just use a different color for the 1 colorless
you use one green for the sabertooth ability, and the second green to play Ramos

I run Door in my Ramos Charms deck as well as Amulet of Vigor. It can be quite goofy.
I was going to put that in an Urtet Myr tribal deck. Focus on spamming Myr tokens.
You could potentially get Ramos and Progenitus in play 4th turn lol.
Looks like a good addition in any counter deck, really, artifacts or otherwise.
I use lux artillery fist of suns and timeless lotus in my artifact deck at the house. It's super funny to a actually pull off.

Lux artillery for sunburst
Fist of suns let's me cast my spells by spending one of each color and timeless lotus gives me one of each color. So my 1/1 artifact creatures that cost 1 now hit the field with 5 +1/+1 counters.
Vexing puzzle box has the best shot in lowest amount of work to trigger it
You know where I'm gonna use this? In my Optimus-Arcbound deck.
You would have to wait a turn because of summoning sickness or give Ramos haste. Same applies to Temur.
No, you're a bit confused on the rulings. You can activate abilities just can't tap to activate

I'd also run Simic Ascendancy in that deck for the redundancy and alternate win condition
I have a bunch of cards from original mirrodin with suburst and I've wanted it brought back so bad, finally one of my favourite mechanics has returned
Aetherflux Reservoir gives you a win. Chromatic Orrery allows you to spend the mana as any color.

Wrong you have infinite wbbrg plus 3 since you only need one green and one generic for Timmy
The other green is going into the recasting of Ramos so it enters with five counters on it.
@@STS-qi1qy fair point, I didn't catch that. Throw in a fist of suns and you're Gucci
Considering that colorless mana counts as a color you can actually get 6 sunburst in theory for Ramos
Colorless does NOT count as a color, and no counters will be added. The rulings for Ramos say as much.
Same applies for Sunburst.

Thr Lux Cannon glowup.
What happens if something already has sunburst, does it get double sunburst?
I'm gonna miss those big sphere lamps.
The Myr commander would benefit a lot from Lux Artillery
My thoughts exactly.
does giving sunburst to a creature that already have it double the amount of +1+1 received, like 2 sunburst? or does it just don't change anything?
Can a creature have 2 lifelink? Two affinity for artifacts?

This is going right into Zabaz
I've been waiting for another Ramos Deck Tech/idea from Commander's Quarters because I just don't love the idea of winning with the Gates.
oh man I think I have to rebuild my atraxa deck :D
And then Ramos opens Doorway to Nothingness, and yay!!!
Cloudstone curio would just erupt in table hate
Breya is also an artifact creature, so she would come in as a 10/10
She would be an 8/8 with two 1/1 thopters. So 10 power and toughness split over 3 bodies but she herself is an 8/8
Does colorless count as a color of mana for sunburst?
Colorless isn’t a color
No. Same for Ramos's ability.
Finally a way to break Temur Sabretooth! 😂
Finally a way to go infinite in commander

I mean, Hasbro/WotC has already made this many bad decisions, what's one more?
