    Great work! I really like your channel. When I'm looking for reviews about B&O products, your channel is always the first on my list. BTW, as a Chinese who lives in the US, I still say aluminium.

    Considering these for my pied a terre condo and wondering if you can get a good sound image without the base destroying my neighbours?

    What is the best connection option to achieve the best sound quality? I've noticed that toslink is better than wireless (using a blue sound NODE 2). The sound is good, but I wonder if there is more potential. Using a pre-amp?

    Hi, Howe, many acoustic lenses do you need? My setup is: Beovision 7-55-4 and 2 Beolab 8000 and on sitting position 2 beolab 3. and also the beolab 2. I like to have also 2 back speakers. What do you recommend?

    Hello, I would like to ask about the BeoLab20 and BeoLab18 19, I feel BeoLab18+19 bass seems unsatisfactory , then listen to BeoLab20 tweeter is a feel a bit vague,Is it because of the lower tweeter? The volume is up to 50% feel less than satisfactory, I would like to ask which do you think will be better?

    What is the difference between MK1 and MK2, aside from the illuminated logo?

    Hi John, thanks for your videos :-). I was wondering: is it possible to use BOTH the Powerlink in and the Toslink in? So that the speakers would play anything through the Powerlink in (connected to the telly), but also be able to play optically from the Beosound Core?

    I would like to use those with the BeoSound 9000 and a sonos base… the 9000 just sticks in the Powerlink, but do I need a cable connection between the pair via Cable if I want wo use the Sonos? … or can I connect the Sonos Connect (via Cable) and tell one of the Speaker to be the left one and still use the other via WISA?

      Hi, you would plug the BeoLab 20 into BeoSound 9000 using PowerLink cables. If you want to add your Sonos you could plug that into the AUX input on the BeoSound 9000 using a twin RCA phono to DIN lead. (www.soundsheavenly.co.uk can help). Play CD's as normal and use A.AUX on the remote to play the Sonos system. John

      Not a massive amount the amplifier was beefed up and the logo lights up but apart from that very similar.

    Hi John...just started subscribing to you after acquiring a BeoHarmony 88. Could you or someone please let me know what those white on wall speakers are just next to your Beo 20s from 4.04 m onwards ? Thanks from Down Under !

      Hi Ashar, they are called Beolab 12-3 and were very unique. Super slim aluminium cabinets and sounded pretty good too. There were also smaller Beolab 12-2 and 12-1 in the range. All discontinued now but should be around on the second hand market. John

    Love your videos so far. How big of a space do I need for the 5 or 20 respectively. 5 is quite dated yet good and wondering if I want to invest for a lifetime which one should I go with?

    • @maarten6656
      @maarten6656 4 роки тому

      Derek Chan Beolab 5’s are the best investment. But only if you could get ones that are young and unused. They last ages, but after 15-20 years or less you’d need to change the amplifier or chassis if you’re unlucky. And that can be costly. But they outclass the beolab 20’s

    How mush is the sound difference between the 20 and the 9?

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  5 років тому +1

      It is a noticeable difference. BeoLab 9 are awesome speakers but BeoLab 20 sound more controlled to me, the bass is more precise and the they are just more lively. John

    We have a new friend - Richard! How does classical music play on BeoLab 20? Could you play some symphony next time? Your eyes are so blue today like the deep ocean. Aloha from Hawaii.

      Aloha Newmoon, they sound superb with classical because they extract every last drop of detail from the orchestra. John.

      If I'm being honest I can't stand football! I was born in Stoke on Trent so technically I suppose I would be Stoke City. To me I'm afraid they are all equally irrelevant. Thanks for watching though :-) John

    Partybox 1000 destroys that😂

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  3 роки тому +2

      Beolab 20 are a high end pair of hi-fi loudspeakers for the quality reproduction of stereo music or part of a Dolby surround system......Partybox 1000 is a loud, obnoxious party speaker that plays mono (complete with flashing lights) and pretty tacky in my opinion. They are 2 completely different products for different customers! There is more to a speaker than how loud it goes and how much bass it can throw out.
