This is most definitely the most epic paint rack I've ever seen. It's a million lightyears beyond my skills. The metal construction lifts this paint rack into the stratosphere, the capacity ignites its afterburners, and the high-CRI LEDs take this into outer space. Amazing!
I can think of a few things you can add to improve this if it's of interest. I understand they might not all apply to your use case, but just throwing it out there. The 3d printed end caps, modify the one that is with the control board by extending the design to mount the control board into it so it can be pulled out easily for any future maintanence. The power barrel plug is very easy to bash if you ever need to move/adjust the rack in future, consider adding a small bit of steel at the back to protect it while it's being moved on the castors. The power lead would also be easy to accidently pull and break the power barrel connection, consider 3d printing and attaching a straign relief somehow. If you wanted, you could also add some kind of 3d printed holder onto the vertical steel tubes between the trays for things like airbrush cleaner bottles, thinner etc. Lastly, not a improvment for the rack it's self, but the paint pots. Consider painting all the lids the color of the paint in them so you can more easily identify them. You could base coat them with a nutural grey primer first I suppose if that was needed for the color to show accuratly. This is a fairly common thing to do when you have lots of paints stored so close together even when they are not in a rack.
*_Hi, as I could not have the audio on, I'm gunna guess you did not mention you could later add a shelf or two that swings out; incase you got 200 more paints._* *_Sorta like wings._*
i once soldered 700 single LEDs (Through Hole LEDs) by hand. That was a lot of soldering, thats just a few wires :D But Amazing Project non the less. I think would have placed the Switch placed somewhere more accessible.
Love it, I need one. My shelves are so full of paint its started to clutter my painting desk. The only thing id change would be to add some way to quickly see what paints are on each shelf at a glance, maybe a little white board or something?
Hmm, that is not a bad idea! Like a reference chart or something.... Sometimes it is a bit difficult finding some Pro Acryl colors because the caps aren't painted like the others. Thanks for the good idea!
Here is the link to the insert on the lower three shelves. www.printables.com/model/58416-vallejo-paint-color-standholder-25-mm I hadn't uploaded the Pro Acryl inserts... They are kind of specific to the paint rack and need to be on a certain angle to function properly. If enough people inquire about them, I may upload them anyway.

That looks AMAZING. I could really benefit from that cart. You should kickstart this !!!!
That's a great paint rack! Nice job
Epic!!!!! Some would say it's a pinnacle of use specific organization. Some would call it mental illness 😂
Happy painting, may all your highlights pop
Take my money... great paint storage solution
I've been contemplating perhaps building some for sale, I'll send you a message if you'd like to get put on a list. Thanks!
@@knightowlforge Absolutely... I truly appreciate it. Thank you.
Man, this is inspired

What is on the paint lids
I want one and I don't even paint!
It is pretty to look at no doubt.
That is an incredibly useful paint rack. Do you plan on making and selling them?
I hadn't decided... I wonder if anyone else is as stoked as I when it comes to these things.
Absolutely. I'd like to talk to you about commissioning at least the frame, if not a complete replica. Want to chat?
Can you link the files for those rack fittings?
If you could sell the plans, I’d pay for them so a fabricator here in Australia could make it
Please tell me you have these for sale?
do you share the stl file for the bottle holders?? amazing build
