The HAO rail is incredibly well made and really is stunning looking. The small details and CNC work is done to a very high precision.
Fitting takes about 40-60min. You will need some basic tools and a dremmel or hacksaw. Once fitted its extremely solid and durable.

Depends on brand of course, but took me around 5 mins to install on VFC Avalon Calibur CQC. Perfect fit. Just unscrew stock rail, remove it (mine was a bit wobbly so it came off without any force), attach new one (will require some heavy pushing) and screw it back. Done. Just make sure to order "VFC/HAO's 416V2" version if you intent to install it on Calibur.

Looks great. Didn't know there were Geissele replicas out there. The real one on their website goes for $438.
Be on the lookout for Geissele MK13 and MK14 M-LOK rails. They're going to be the new hotness since the US military is going to be using them for the SOPMOD Block II replacement.

I think you're right and I got the number wrong. They slimmed down the MK4 and got a new barrel nut and called it the MK16, which sucks because I just put a MK4 on my Colt upper :)

It's been 3 years, anyone try one of these rails on a real AR-15, using either the barrel nut or a real AR-15 barrel nut?
Any idea how to take the hao smr down when you need to, eg. Change hop up rubber? The nut and the rail is too tight.
Does this rail fit to a normal AR15 if u cut of the little pin on the top of the rail?

Might be late with this but I was able to have a direct mount using bolts and washer installed from inside the rail to the underside of the surefire. Just make sure you use small washers and flat bolts or you wont clear the gas block. In my case I just used the bolts that came with the s&s light mount.
