VW T4 Spare Wheel Carrier Welding Guide, Customizing Your VW T4, Attaching Spare Wheel VW T4, VW T4.
[ep21-s3] The original holder for the spare wheel is a very popular accessory for Volkswagen vans, but how do you install it correctly on the car body structures. It needs cutting, drilling, and welding. In this episode, I'll show how I installed it on my VW T4 Syncro.
First, however, I install the new bushings on the rear differential brackets. I'm fixing a stuck rear window wiper motor. When I'm going to install the electrical wires of the tailgate, I notice that the spare wheel carrier should be welded in place first, so that I don't burn the wiring harness later.
