So true, if the job deserves perfection, you can always re-do it! 😁. Seriously, most flaws can be fixed on most jobs. My last one deserved a small respray as the blend area did not work out well the first time. Silver paint as well. Two hours to respray, perfect!
My brother . Hello from Australia. I love these videos. My game has stepped up in a big way watching you. Your my “virtual youtube mentor” thanks for everything man. 👍🏽🤜🏽
Beginner painter, just bought an air compressor and hlvp gun to paint my silver suv. Its a blend on passenger door...was having a tough time with the silver coming out too dark...went back and got the lighter silver variant, and wala, it matches better and is light enough that im thinking when the clear is put on. It will match up with the rest....Great video. Very inspiring. I just subscribed and gave this video a like!
Hi it’s ALON from Israel I saw your almost all videos and I learn a lot from you .i think you are great 👍 thank you very much and please keep make videos. You have a big fan of you in Israel.

Hi mate from Perth Australia from a fellow painter. The Gunman sent me and i'm glad i came. I'm a bit more in the resto side but occasionally doing repair refinish. Working from home has it's advantages too. Keep up the good work bro 👍
Hi man, great work and sharing of your techniques and experience to others. I am planning to have my old car do a paintover. It has silver color. Your video upon watching truly gave me an insight on how to have a successful satisfying silver paintjob. God bless you too. Watched from the Philippines.
Your work is a wow.silver is a one tricky paint that sometimes when you apply clear coat it doesn't look like a silver at all,it may become gray when it fail.
wowowowow you know what? thank you seriously! you have no idea how much I appreciate this message!! If you need a motivatedpainters blower to dry the base let me know! motivatedpainters@gmail.com

I use that same pro lite love it all around good gun GABE 1.2 with te20 air cap for clear and 1.3 for base and 1.4 for water keep up the great work on teaching us how to get better
Thank you for Sharing Your Awareness. i love your videos bud. just found them and i am catching a bunch of little things. i also love your Genuine authenticity when it comes to presenting yourself. Great video man! Im an apprentice painter/body man I get a couple of cars here in there I get to spray, I try to learn different styles of painting and implement what I like. Appreciate all the videos! keep up the good work!
Thank you for taking time to share your knowledge. I am a self taught aircraft painter. I am trying to get better at spraying PPG single stage metalics. They can be hell to get right.
It a lot better when you painted inside when painted my truck painted outside but am learning more from watching your videos. I watch the Paint Society channel too and other sites but just need more experience on auto painting since being a beginner it will take a while but for some faster than others.
Hi Gabe if we as Painters can apply your attitude towards our work, then we can make the impossible possible on all our paint jobs. Love watching your videos Bro. Stay Motivated...
That paint job came out very nice. I really like how you explain what your doing and what works best for you. Plus about your very last coat and turning down the pressure. I have always had a hard time with all shades of silvers. Always had mottling and there where time I couldn't see it in the paint booth. Your videos helped me understand a little more. I was a body man for 10 plus years and more then half that time I was the back up painter. I really want to get back in a bodyshop again I miss it. But this time I want to learn more and become a painter in the bodyshop. Or be both again so if you have any info or know a small bodyshop looking for someone I'll be more then willing. Thank you for your videos
MOTIVATED PAINTERS your very welcome and thank you for your videos. I would be going to shops and there is only two bodyshop here and I live in Alaska. One of the shops here I worked for and was in the shop for over 10 years but I left to help my parents move to California for medical so I lost my career. So I'm saving money to move south and I defentatly will be going to shops when I get there. But I have been looking online so my resume is up for bodyshop to look at. How did you start out? I started out painting helicopters so I'm somewhat self taught
turned down iwata 1 and half turns pulled back so drop coat wouldn't be so wet .it worked.blend fall rite in. thanks for advice. ppg needs to pay you for showing us how to work their products. I'm getting a raise. thanks .
+Brian Broady wow man I'm honored! Dang dude! I love when people apply what I teach and get results! Thanks so much for this comment it made me smile!!! 😀 if you ever want to do a written or video testimonial it would mean the world to me! That's the only way I can show people that this is making a difference! Motivatedpainters@gmail.com
i remember painting a white bonnet(hood) three times because a mosquito landed on it the first two times! im using the max meyer water made by ppg great for colour matching here in the uk! really enjoy your vids mate keep them coming! cheers
well I like your hounisty I enjoy seeing other ways to try to see if it works better for me thanks for your hard work on the video and your point of view take care
Another great video and thanks for putting the setup info in the description. Can't wait to give it a try. Got the same guns but have some problems with orange peel. Still learning 👍🏼
Hi from UK. Great video as all of yours... I paint for a while now but I am always open for some tricks and advises of others.. , great to look on yours tho keep doing it, also had the same filling on my devilbiss as its a bit harder work with them but still practice and still learning.. I started dropping the pressure down a bit as been using 2 bars(29 psi) always ... and many people recommend lower Once again thanks for your videos!
Hell yeah bro. No such thing as a perfect paint job! I always find something,, ( i do an avg. 85.7 flat rate hrs. ) and get all the shit it seem”s. Love the channel
Thanks for the great video painting a silver aircraft used a ppg 901 epoxy primer had trouble with the marble look on the first one. Will have to try the sealer product on this one.
one other tip on silver is to use slow reducer in the base especially in the summertime so that the overspray melts in better and prevents modeling and stripes when using solvent base
Where could I find that blue fan air nozzle you use to dry the waterborne paint, looks very effective. Great work on the paint job, and explaining all the steps in detail.
We seem to work and paint almost identical. I didn't care too much for the pro lite on HS clears either... any clear to be honest. Which was disappointing to me. I'm still playing around with air pressure but it seems like it goes from excessive orange peel to excessive overspray. I can lay down better clear with my GFG670. I need to buck up and try the IWATA. I didn't care for the 3M cup system either. Never felt secure on the gun, and I did manage to knock it off once while trying to troubleshoot a gun issue, but I consider that and extremely rare occurrence. Thanks for the videos. I might actually get an instagram account because of you and a few other talented individuals creating great content like yourself.
Hi mr. super Motivtated Painter u do Great work with good explenation what and when , every painter has own stile for silver paint ;) but importent is the final :) im in car painter bissnes to and love paint and watch u vidios thank you for help costumers back on road ;)
Just wondering if you remember the color of the Honda you mentioned having so much trouble with before? Because I just had to repaint a Honda “Cool Blue” three. Times because I had so much trouble with it modeling and not laying out right. It almost broke me and it still wasn’t perfect at the end but it passed.
very nice job Gabriel, I'd like to know how much you open the fluid valves for both paint and clear, thanks! I also have the same spray guns and I'm currently using a 1.2 with the t-e10 for clear on the prolite .
You said that you don't like the tekna Pro-Lite because it's too slow, and you also said that you have an iwata that you normally use, do you have a video that shows what spray gun you like best or can you tell me?
What color primer do use on bright silver metallic. Is white better to use. I see they have 2k flat white primer at the store but just want to know the best color primer to use that the color enhances my real color of my truck a lot and the best because I have been using light gray primer now. It seems like white primer over my paint code PSB bright silver metallic will work better.
awesome video. you make it so easy. i am new to your channel. can you share little more on how to spray sliver? i always have trouble spraying sliver, like having tiger lines and spots. thanks
+terrence ramdhan if it's a difficult silver I thin it down a bit more but I judge it on how the color is spraying during my coats if I see that is hot laying down nice I'll thin it out some lore 😊
I know this is an old video now but I call this spider Gabriel 👌🏽🤣 also do you use that sealer called dp40 Ppg? Thankyou again for such great content:)
+Daniel Green I have but I always find it doesn't have enough build so it looks siddy like grainy so I just try to put two thinner coats towards the end of the blends.
My brother I have a silver car they’re painting the back bumper the whole side passenger and over the front hood I think that’s where the Blend is going to be, I’ve never seen a bad job come out of this man shop but then again you’re talking about me
Hey my man, it seems you always do a control coat when you spray your silvers. I have such a hard time gettting my silvers to come out perfect without any mottling or imperfections. Do you suggest always using a sealer and then finish off with the control coat. Last car i painted silver looked great but then when i got it out in natural sunglight i saw the imperfections in the paint. I know a lot of guys use blending agent but it seems i have more problems when i use a base coat blender. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Haha don't be nervous! You can fix it ! Just watch the silver playlist it will help you lots! This was a very long time ago but I would of had the fan wide open and the fluid open until I feel the trigger make pressure on my finger. Excatly how I set up my clear gun if you UA-cam search "how I set up my clear gun" you will see
MOTIVATED PAINTERS thank u for comforting me.you help me a lot in your video..i guess I just need to calm down and be better..i can do this..I'm using devilbiss jgx 502 -ex needle by the way..the only gun i had

Absolutely!
Where could I find that blue fan air nozzle you use to dry the waterborne paint, looks very effective. Great work on the paint job, and explaining all the steps in detail.

Great Video. Thanks for sharing.
What is a control coat ?
Last coat before clear. Light light
Agreed. Any good painter knows there is no perfect paint job. I dream of it, but I know it doesn't exist.
have you tried having only one coat of clear at the end of the blend panel? works great especially for silver's.
+Daniel Green I have but I always find it doesn't have enough build so it looks siddy like grainy so I just try to put two thinner coats towards the end of the blends.
MOTIVATED PAINTERS yes I know what you mean.
wow..i love it
My brother I have a silver car they’re painting the back bumper the whole side passenger and over the front hood I think that’s where the Blend is going to be, I’ve never seen a bad job come out of this man shop but then again you’re talking about me
great work man i am from lebanon i was wondering i have a peugeot 106 gti what's the nicest silver color that will suite it and if u have color code
+Tony Kfoury hey brother not to sure to be honest! But BMW a89 is a great silver with a good match !
Hey brother!! Honestly since using the Walcom hte base 1.3 it's made a huge difference. Also try over reducing the basecoat after you have coverage!
Thanks man. I heard someone else mention they over reduce base a lot
