I have two of these. If you live in a hard water area, make sure you drain it every six months to get rid of sediment, and every 2-3 years change the sacrificial anodes and clean the elements. Also consider changing the rubber seals on the elements and the plastic outlet deflectors every 4-5 years.

Hi. A quick question I have just got mine now Ariston 80L. I am a little worried did check all in the box and when a take out did have an internal sound like a ball rolling in the tank, I was wondering if that is something normal or should I send the item back? Any help guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the video, anyone knows if this could be installed in any direction while being horizontal?

Any direction. I also considered this unit, but after reading some reviews I'll go for something else.

Hello, very nice video. I purchased one here in Serbia but there is no expansion tank. It does have the safety pressure valve. Do you recommend an expansion tank and where do you install it. Thank you. Dejan

Didn't explain stratification, nor the wifi constraints, nor the layout of the various extras.

    Positives:
Heats up quicker (up to ... quicker)
    Slim design
    Good looks (subjectively speaking)
    Negatives:
Practically unrepairable after the 5year warranty - parts cost a fotune
Sophisticated electronics (+ and --ses to be considered)
Is crammed full of sensors (failure of any of which renders it useless)
SHOCKINGLY expensive (4x-5x more than standard 80L water heater)
    Pro tip:
Get a basic ELDOM or BOSCH/ARISTO heater. Lasts far more than this thing and is far far more reliable.

I don't understand how the twin tank helps and the benefits of it.
It's only 1500W, seems very low.
Would like to know some of the cons.
Would be nice to compare with heat pump boilers (pros and cons)

    • @markus4979

I'd think it takes longer to re-heat a single tank after a shower to reach a certain / shower ready temperature rather then utilising one of the tanks while the second remains unchanged and ready for the next shower, no? Also heat pumps are likely louder, Ariston have a Lydos hybrid model at 49db noise level, no thanks. The 1.5kw is lower than usual but probably to help suit other environments like smaller homes/mobile homes etc. I do wish they had a more powerful one as it would reduce heat up time even more, but amazing space saver in terms of dept being super slim and the app is a great help.

@@markus4979 Thank you. I've used it for 3 months and works well (mine is a simple one without app).
But I need to see how it performs in winter with 4 people having showers.

btw. the new wifi models have 3kw (1.5kw in each tank) thus much quicker, 80L 15-60C within 56mins instead of 112mins on regular model!

@@markus4979 you can not use 3 kw :) When heat first tank after that activate second tank.
