Goodra gives Slowbro some serious competition for self-healing Sp. Atk tank. While the Slow Beam is one of the best ults, I wonder how Bro will fair.
I'd say Goodra appears a bit more aggressive with the pulls, dash, slime slows, cooldowns, and boosted auto unite, compared to Slowbro being very focused on shutting down enemies and survivability
True, but Slowbro still have its unite which is one of the best carry-counter move in the game.
They are pretty different actually one is front line tank the other is carry counter tank
Him and bro could allow the team to run low hp mons like Cinder deci and gengar all at once.

I am literally so happy as an attacker main that the defenders are FINALLY getting a new addition since the last one they got was the tree. Sometimes I like playing defenders and this is exactly what unite needed to do instead of adding the next millionth attacker
Honestly I’m pretty sure they could’ve made a lot of the attacker a different imo
I love that Goodra + Comfey synergy from VGC translates so neatly into Unite
The thing is, it was gimmicky in VGC. It will be invincible in Unite.
Also don't forget Broken Zacian 😌
Goodra and comfey front row defender mowing down everything, probably even absol will have hard time knocking it down coz of that ton of hp recovery
I love the concept of this Pokémon’s early kit. Bubble is so creative, I love how they gave him a lil bubble shield that pops! That’s so awesome and creative. Same with Lapras bubble beam how opps get absorbed by the bubble and float away…. very creative ways to translate Pokémon moves into moba form is my fav thing about this game.
This was a well done guide. I literally had the question in my mind earlier in the video of if the unite would essentially make Goodra ranged since it turns all autos into boosted attacks and Goodra's boosteds can be ranged and then you answered later in the vid. Perfect!
Looks like Zacion dosn't need another nerf as it'll be the only one to K.O Goodra
@spragels Decidueye with Razor leaf is also a good counter to Goodra..
Energy amp, shellbell, slick spoon or focus band, this is the build I'll be trying out because of the reduction. How well it's unite move pairs with it being able to continue to fight the fact that the shellbell recovers even more HP for it, focus band would be good for the low health recovery, and the slick spoon instead could help with extra healing for the shell belt

Very cute and handy! I wish Comfey got some bonuses for entering the grass too, especially since one of its big things is conjuring/getting more flowers from being in grass.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Goodra’s Power Whip and Acid Spray might’ve gotten changed and it now learns those moves at lvl 7 instead of 8 which could be massive for him.
As for items i plan on running Focus Band, Aeos Cookie, and Slick Spoon along with a potion. Idk I feel stacking as many forms of recovery for Goodra is the way to go. Just cycle between potion, passive, and unite move, and if you use Dragon Pulse that’s even more recovery. Personally I want to use Muddy Water which is why I wanna run Potion. Just become disgustingly unkillable

You might want to try black and green emblems... Then choose cookie, shell bell, and spoon. Or instead of cookie use the hood instead.

It’s been so bad 🥲 I usually make it to masters by the 2nd-3rd day of turnover depending on how much I play, but I just made it to Ultra 3…. WITH 2 of my good fr fiends and 1 of them is a moba player through and through. It’s been rough.

Im running focus, spoon, rapid, as much as you are going to be basic attacking, the abilities is where the damage is at. Though depends on unite charge time amp might be good to so you can do even more damage while you heal for your unite

I like Goodra and was excited to see it since it was announced. After watching this I am even more excited to see it join the game tonight. Definately getting this Pokemon. :)
Definitely a force to be reckoned with if Comfey attach to it.
my partner and I have been running comfey and goodra together a LOT and here's what we've noticed
-yes comfey's ult does trigger goodra's passive!! and it's SUPER noticable how fast it heals
-we run muddy water+power whip which is probably "off meta" or whatever, but muddy water is what makes goodra UNKILLABLE. ofc combined with a comfey that thing is going nowhere anyway but we've had a lot of 2v2s where his goodra didn't even need my comfey healing to sustain because of muddy water 👀 and of course when they realize they're losing the fight and they try to leave, just grab them with power whip so they can't go anywhere lol
If you use muddy water and power whip you can essentially be super tanky for any fight by keep the enemy close to you

I already said this on the previous video but Whip + Comfey with Sweet Kiss will probably be so difficult to get away from. Personally I'm very interested in the brawler-y style of Water + Acid

It seems like the perfect Pokémon to initiate a big team fight for your team. It can jump into the enemy team with almost a guarantee to survive with these stats and healing, and then it slows them and decreases their damage. A great tank to follow into battle!

Goodra is my favorite pokemon so its gonna be my main pokemon my emblem build is just max red and some whites
I feel like I could also just acid spray with dragon pulse to actually make sure it hits in the center, in a more consistent way than the power whip
My guy ttar deals true damage .. ignoring all defences is still the wildest thing inside of the game

I'm in heaven , we get 3 new defenders. Umbreon, Lapras and Goodra. And all.three are my favorites.. though Umbreon is my number 1, and Goodra is in my top 10 favs .
With such high defenses, would defense emblems be viable? Would they scale with your stacks of defense?
My recommended set for Goodra: held items: Score Shield, Assault Vest and Rocky Helmet. Battle item: Goal Getter. Moveset: Power Whip and Dragon Pulse.
Slowbro got healing from it's ability,
It's can buff it's self with amnesia,
cc opponent with telekinesis and surf,
debuff enemies with scald, it's unite is literally nightmare of your enemy carry ,
even it boost attack can slowdown opponent, and it evolve at level 4,

Im doing 6 blue 6 purple and 6 white emblems on the muddy water build
How do you get the boosted attack with your basic attack? Ive never seen my basic attack button turn yellow before ever.
Last time I was playing a quick battle and when the opposition surrendered my screen showed time out occurred and again I cannot enter the match and also cannot play any match because it shows that trainer is still in battle does anyone know how should I fix this?
Just a cool fact, having 600 defends halfs any damage taken so is like you had double HP. You can even have 1200 defense which reduces damage taken so you only take one quarter and is like having 4 times your HP.

How high is a level 15 Blastoise's defense when using Rapid Spin+? Because Rapid Spin+ raises Blastoise's defenses when using the move.

Drain crown only works with physical based auto attacks so nope
I think you drop Shell Bell for Muscle Band, especially if you want to run Slick Spoon.

Does anyone know how much Goodra will cost coin-wise? Like any confirmations. I assume it'll be a 14K since it's a Psuedo legendary, and they normally price them at the higher end, but curious if it's 12K or not when it becomes available for coins.
I have 15k saved ready to go but if it costs more then I’ll grind a bunch of casual games lol

Its ability sadly doenst pair with comfey, It will instantly go into cooldown as soon as comfey unites
