I don't know why this only has 26k views. This is by far one of my favorite spoken words, and is definitely my favorite of hers. Maybe it's because her words are what I've needed to hear this week.. I don't know. But I'm so fucking glad I've found this.

I am an aspiring writer/poet/singer. it isn't until after I saw your show, that my friend suggested we go to (whom was the only person I met off of okcupid that was meaningful. haha.) in st Pete one night. I was so fucking broke but I was so miserable so I spent literally only 25 dollars to see you, someone who I didn't even know existed. And my god it was worth it. I didn't know shows like this existed. people have literally been performing my dreams for years and I didn't know it because I am sheltered by chaos. it was the most enlightening experience of my life. and I've been improving my writing my flow ever since. even go to a few open mic nights when I can. lol. look, as someone battling, from the bottom of my heart I am so grateful for this poem that captures the anguish. this is so healing for me. I just connect to you in so many ways. thank you, whoever posted this. great quality and this is one of her best ones. along with letter to white queers. it means so much that I can access this memory whenever I feel...lifeless, numb.
I'm so sorry about the music in the background. I couldn't stay with the poem because the music kept distracting me. Can you get it off the audio? Or can you get me some A.D.D. meds or something? Because I really wanted to let this poem just sink in. Instead I had to fight to hear it.
