Critstix Darkspear; Yes but it's all about profits with them. Our chocolate if I remember rightly did not use corn syrup. Chocolate tastes shit now. I don't buy any of it anymore since they first bastardised the recipe for Creme Eggs with that cocoa chocolate abomination.
I must admit I love Cadbury creme eggs. Anyone in the UK, if you havent been to Cadbury world it's worth a visit especially with the amount of chocolate they give to you. Plus you can get boxes of chocolate that the shops get for their store. So like 45 bars for £5 for example. I live 50 miles away from the factory. It can be expensive but worth it even if it is once!
they are,.my mom would always get me them for easter and i hated them. i live in canada now and cadburys here is horrible, too sweet compared to england
As to where I'm not an absolute crazy fan of cadbury eggs the change in recipe really does make the difference in taste enough to where I don't buy them here anymore. I just have my relatives bring over a box from england when they come over for the season an that's enough to get me by for a year.
I bought a bar of Cadbury (UK) chocolate for the first time in about 10 years yesterday. I was shocked to find it's not the same as it used to be. Tastes more like cooking chocolate now.
I used to have like a million of these daily but now I cant even buy them for the price I used to be able to and it tastes dodgy af. #bringbackcremeeggs
I'm a loyal fan and have loved these since a child in the early 80s. The slight changes aren't really noticeable other than maybe softer and messier. Taste the same.
I'm not surprised at these differences because I'm European and I found an American store here in my city that sold only imports from the "US and A" 😜 - I was so excited to try some things I had seen but couldn't get here before! The Hershey chocolate was the one I had wanted the most but then I tried it and I was so disappointed!! It didn't taste like chocolate it had a soapy sweet taste 😕 tbh it tasted like watered-down stale milk chocolate that expired... no good. Other stuff was pretty good, I loved some of the hard candies and a white spread called Marshmallow Fluff or something, some things with a filling that go in the toaster (can't remember the name) and also the chocolate-chip cookies and the peanut butter were also great, just the chocolate which I anticipated the most was awful.
Sugar, fructose, and HFCS aren't the same thing. Concentrated corn syrup isn't sugar no matter how much the corn industry pays to force it into everything from Coke to ketchup.
I’m addicted to these 🥚 love them..I’d rather eat 3 of these than smoke 3 cancer sticks anytime..I hate smoking but I eat some chocolate 🍫 every day I don’t drink either…crème eggs are my addiction…thanks for sharing..I’m going to eat more of them now 😂😂Haha
Yes I agree, it was only a housing estate attached to the factory for the workers built by the Cadbury Bros and even the houses are not owned by the Cadbury company any longer.
Hersey changed their recipe to a lot of different chocolates they manufacture. And when they changed the Cadbury recipe they screwed up. It doesn't taste the same nor does it taste better.
