I see people saying AI is stupid for not sending the 200 divisions+ doing nothing. Most of the time it is because the front is at its supply capacity, so the AI is actually being smart by not flooding the supply and causing endless attrition.
Then why don’t they upgrade the infrastructure? I never have unused units because I keep the front upgraded. The AI should be able to add a build order on front lines
@@shipshrekt2156 there is constant combat so the infrastructure gets damaged regularly. The AI has so many spam units and even if they had upgraded infrastructure there would be no way to stick 450+ divisions on the entire front. Not to mention the axis allies in the south are also eating up supply
Ye this is also a issue I faced back then, I always bleed out equipment due to low supply due to high amounts of divisions. But when I moved half as reserves in france they steamrolled the soviets fast with not much issue besides the limited combat equipment losses.
Yeah. I think that was what happened to the Germans in the run up to the Battle of Stalingrad. They could only move up that many units to Stalingrad given transpiration abilities for movement of troops and supply needs so they might as well shift some units to the Caucuses.

During ww1 after losing their most populated western region to the Germans, they after the Brusillov offensive were just bled dry of men and had no way of getting enough men to launch another large scale offensive. During ww2 in 1942 the Soviets controlled less people than the whole Axis population (104 million in unoccupied USSR vs 147 million in all Axis nations including co belligerent but nonmember Finland). If the Russians lose their western populated regions, they are left with the population of just the way less populated Siberia to draw on excluding the soldiers on the front originating from the west.
That was fun but could have been even better if Zhukov took over the USSR before they collapsed, managed to fend off Rommel's advance and then the two make peace as their ideologic leaders behind them are gone.

Thing is when Germany heard about the bombing of pearl harbor Hitler declared war. In which we also responded with agreement. Other wise, the likely possibility of us actually invading Europe would likely not have occured if Hitler was murdered and rommel took over. Give or take a lot of negotiations would occur to return France and removal of nazism etc etc. But the likelyness of the USSR staying would have been extremely slim.

Considering that 44.56 million Russians died in this timelapse, that would be around 25% of the entire Russian population. That may not sound like much to some people, but when you consider the economic, military, political, and industrial consequences that has on a nation, that is detrimental. At least two whole generations would be lost, and over a century of recovery needed.

And if hitler hadn’t been so meddling in the eastern fronts offensives, because up until 1943, the Russians seemed to just throw waves of lives at the german lines until they broke, and with over 35 million casualties, and the fact the Russian industry made everything it could take from the earth, AND that the war lasted past 1945, in our real world the Russians were on some of their last reserves by the Berlin battles, and seeing how the axis held the line for that long, it makes sense the Russians lost
I like how Rommel keeps his cool and is smart enough to pick his battles I hope they made a good peace with the remaining Allie’s. Rommel was a good general and person but I truly doubt if he would stay in power after the war.

the reason it works is cause its hoi4, soviet ai is hard coded to battle plan into you until their divisions delete from low strength
