Kratos is the World Serpent. Freya said she was going to curse him notice the color of the serpents eyes and he had some red around his face referring to Kratos tattoo, hence why they gave you this Armor.
not the gear is important is important to have fun, remember kratos destroy an entire pantheon just with a skirt and some blades. not with zeus armor, or some fancy talisman
I'm on my 3rd pt GMGOW and I never knew about this set. It's very similar to the Mythic of Arcane Might set but it favors STR w/ Runic. The set also seems to unlock around the same check point in the game which is right after completing Tyr's vault to collect the black rune. I'm hoping this set will carry me thru to build the Ivaldi's Deadly Mist set.
My favourite set by a long way is the 'ancients armour.' It got me well past the halfway mark and I was reluctant to use anything else. The elemental DEF stats made a massive difference.
Apparently if you miss anything in your first playthrough it becomes impossible to get in new game plus. Would have been real nice if the game warned me BEFORE I started it and made it all the way back to this point in the game, but thanks for the assist.
I like the Upgraded Pauldrons they're a better temporary substitute for the downgraded Valkyrie Cuirass. The Upgraded Pauldrons can hold up to 3 enchantments while the Upgraded War Belt and Bracers only hold a max of two each which is kind of a bummer.
I really love these Armours man. They're really underrated and I wanna use em more. For Example there's a Level 1 and 2 Armour which shows more of Kratos' Chest. I'm planning on using that for the rest of the game. I can get the Upgraded version for the Wrists and Waist.
This can still be gotten after flipping the temple, at least the waist and chest piece can. I'm not sure about the gauntlets, I had them before I flipped my shit.
i got the pauldrons 1st playthrough and the other bits i missed then the pauldrons vanished without a trace now i am on NG+ and i seem to be unable to obtain any of this set...dumb

@@justinc.242 That set is found in Alfheim, a good set imo. However, Ive heard (not sure if its true) that this is a missable item. Meaning if you dont collect it before leaving its no longer available. Try to return and collect it, maybe the devs patched it so you can. I know they did that w/ the missable enchant in Helheim for the Infinity Talisman so now that enchant will automatically go to your dropped items when visiting Brok or Sindri.
the armor he started with is the valkyrie armor, valkeries have a chance at dropping the pieces. in my case i had to kill all of the normal ones to get the armor.
