Great info. Something I hope to accomplish and his been only a glimmer of thought. Your info is encouraging. What area are you located? Central Alabama here, so anticipating several hurdles.
i have to add a couple of comments here, 1 it takes way too long for activation here in the uk you can get approval normally in 28 days or less, 2 you missed a trick not putting solar panels on the back side facing west as far as i can see you have no shading on the front east side, had you fitted on the back west side and installed optimisers too that would have cancelled out most of the shading issues(that what optimisers are designed for) plus a east/west install you could have doubled the generation giving you a faster ROI, and yes i have solar here in the uk since 2013
Thanks for sharing. Our west-facing roof experiences significant shade from large trees, and placing solar panels on the east-facing roof should be enough to offset our annual electricity usage.
👉 Let me know if you’re using solar energy with your smart home, and how, or any questions that you have.

Glad you found it helpful! This was my experience in northern Virginia.

You need batteries for nights and raining days . If off lines.
Where we live, I do not believe the cost of batteries makes it worthwhile. Our net metering offsets cloudy days and nights.
