Bro had 1% HP and could've ended the fight but he had to get a parry what a chad
You can tell the person playing is skilled and only got hit deliberately to give the illusion of a close match.
You do realise that it’s a dev showcasing the game and not just some normal jabroni playing?
@@marcusfry3536 it was cool to see nonetheless
@@marcusfry3536 True, but some developers do not even playtest their own games.

This studio seriously needs more attention. Ori was a masterclass in game design. This game needs more coverage in my opinion and seems underrated.
No, please no. Sony or MS will buy them and take their soul like they did with many other.
@@Shineinpoverty they already had a partnership with ms in the past
Ori was the best metroidvania style game IMO. This new one looks great as well
Isnt Microscuff already in ownership of Moon Studios?
This studio have so much attention. Ori 1 and 2 were a complete masterpiece and well awaited games in general. This game isn't out yet and it looks impressive, it's not underrated at all. Just give the studio time to do their stuff
“Is this really a souls-like?”
*character rolls thru barrels*
“Very well then”
This isn't an arpg, it's an isometric souls like.
@@DarkWanderer666 Not really an isometric. It's still an arpg, just from a top down perspective.
@@iamjesus8fearme If it's an ARPG then it should at least have some RPG elements like what the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games have for example
@@jaughnekow just... don't play it? your opinion isn't that highly regarded.
@@randomcommenter10_and soul-like is a sub-genre of arpg
The atmosphere feels incredible. Gonna keep my eye on this one.
Ikr
The atmosphere in the Ori games were breathtaking. This game definitely has the same atmospheric ambiance, but the style is lost on me. The Ori games had this air of whimsical magic and it almost hurts to see they ditched it for this...
its giving me weird witcher 3 vibes in a top down soulslike game
Agreed. the 3 quarter top down view is really developed well with the lush detail in the background, making my steam wishlist for sure
👀
Animation and rain quality is first class.Look at this man !
The sound design is the best I've heard in a while. The impact of the weapons are so punchy.
Look at this, look. Tight, tight, tight 😅
I'd expect no less from the Ori team. Stunningly pretty.
This isn't an arpg, it's an isometric souls like.
@@DarkWanderer666lil bro do you even know what arpg is an acronym for?
Fromsoftware's influence on the industry is indisputable, plus the game has incredible art direction, looking forward to play this gem.
any boss battle: from software.
Lol.
This is just a boss fight like the one that happens in first five minutes in Prince of Persia Warrior within and countless other games with boss battles.
@@HenryTownsmyth OP never said that any boss battle = FromSoftware, he was just pointing out that there was clearly a bit of inspiration taken from FS by the developers of this game. Don't strawman people's comments; it's bad for your brain little Henry. You really thought you had something there lol
This art style is 100% based on darkest dungeon wtf.
This isn't an arpg, it's an isometric souls like.
And I’m here for it. Look’s incredible
This is from the developers of Ori. Anyone that has played those games knows this is a must play.
That explains a lot then. And only makes me more interested in getting the game. Those were both masterpieces in my eyes.
thanks for the info
Animations are amazing here, so smooth and you can feel the impact of every swing and explosion. Looking forward to this game!
That's best thing, the impact of your attacks.
as playing prototype ? Every swing and ability felt meaningful and strong
My second most awaited game of the year So far after Dragons Dogma 2
Same
@@MrrGervaiswe're brothers already then. 👏👏👏
You have fine taste my brother.
Same bro 💪🏻
And Silksong 🌝
@@Bracubizzuoh yeah forgot about that pretty game.
Yeah, i'll definitely be picking this up. Looks amazing, sound awesome.
The animations are so smooth and the attacks are well telegraphed. Also at 6:33 the lightning lighting up the while battlefeild is such a cool detail
brozzer, there is no rest for the wicked
This looks incredible. Super excited to see more.
Moon Studios = Day 1
The same guys who made Ori series , right?
Yep@@shayanali8771
yea@@shayanali8771
@@shayanali8771yup it's the Ori dev. Perfect timing 'coz I've been wondering what they've been up to
Think they got something with this. Arpg with slower methodical combat. You can actually see and engage your enemies which is awesome.
Not like most arpgs now where every enemy blows up on the screen with a bunch of flashing effects while you run thru a level like it’s a cellphone game
Diablo 4 is a mess.
Yeah, it seems like the methodical combat of a Soulslike transposed into an isometric RPG. Interesting combination
@@bauul. anybody remember eitr
The first Diablo is the only isometric ARPG that plays anywhere close to this slower pace. I'm all for it there's been very little innovation in this subgenre as a whole. Last Epoch for example does some innovative things but the core gameplay loop is basically identical to what's come before.
This looks excellent. It’s like a dark, grim Ori-esque art style from an isometric perspective. Can’t wait to try it out!
I'm already sold. It looks fantastic!
Finally, a proper twist on the Soulesborne formula. And weighty, actually interesting-looking combat without overdone particle effects (on top of stunning art direction)! Didn't expect Moon Studios to go Soulesborne, but I'm absolutely stoked for this.
Do we usually or ever see top down souls likes (if this Is even truly considered top down). Its usually either third person or a metroidvania style game
@@matijasostojic4288 this is isometric, not top down. and some other isometric soulslikes would be Titan Souls, Tunic or Death's Door
anything with a boss fight is a souls like to these donkeys 😂😂😂
@@musicbuffaryanwhy are all of these souls likes? Souls games didn’t invent the rolling around in combat.
@@raskolnikov6443 not just the rolling around, they also share the degree of challenge (tough boss fights where you need to memorize attack patterns and figure out strategies to beat a boss, even normal enemies are tougher encounters than those from most other games), a moody atmosphere, and a lighter focus on cinematic storytelling and more visual storytelling. They're obviously not Souls clones like Lords of the Fallen or Lies of P etc but they're still under the same umbrella, and you can take a look at all the different sources available on the internet that also refer to these games as soulslikes so it's not something I'm just making up
The announcement trailer was incredible, but seeing the actual gameplay and how amazing it actually looks to play, makes this one of the most anticipated games this year.
Very impressive!
They really improve the combats from wisp that shoot into a full on Soul Like combat, and the way the characters act with the surrounding/environment is amazing.
Moon studios only do masterpieces, ori games are really amazing, and no rest for the w looks stunning!
Studio needs to be careful that giant bosses don't hide the hero during the action. Fortunately, it's not the case here. But it can quickly become problematic with bosses taking up a large part of the screen.
When the player passes behind the enemy it seems to give the player a blue glowing silhouette through the enemy.
@@mostaposta Bloom needs a tone-down but it is a solid game
@@pillarmenn1936 Hope the game will have a slider.
Very visually beautiful! Love the isometric view. As a indie dev myself I'm definitely keeping my eye on this one!
So its isometric Dark Souls, nice. Looking forward to it!
The animation of slashing and dodging are so fluid and the transition between different moves are so smooth you can't really tell when he press the buttons.
that graphic is phenomenal
moon studios dont miss!
Very, very nice! Love the sounds, and how the rain splash from the characters when moving
Bro the animation is so fluid, looks like a lot of work and pasion was put into this game.
Can't wait to play it
Plaese make it playable on steam deck asap
Oh this game would be so fun on the SteamDeck OLED. I'm sure it will work at 720p 60FPS medium settings
They already made the game playable before the game was even announced
Love the sound design❤
Really looking forward to it, go moon studios!!
Combat looks pretty tight. Atmosphere and level design are showing off the devs' skill. Very interesting formula they got here.
ORI had really gorgeous HDR implementation for me. Hope this one does the same :)
Man I'm genuinely excited for this. Like where did this suddenly come from? Got Souls vibe to it
The Art Direction from this studio is just through the roof
Wow, this looks amazing.
Funny how this top-down game manages to really FEEL more like playing a Souls game than some actual normal-perspective Soulslikes.
SUPER hyped for this. I’ve played Hades before, and another indie title called Hob, and this game is looking super promising. Can’t wait!
This looks incredible so far! The environments are beautiful and seem rich with history. It makes you want to learn more about this world. The animations are smooth and dynamic. The art is amazing overall. It almost looks like an oil painting. It seems like there will be plenty of loot to be had as well. More please!
This looks so fluid, more than anything I've seen in the ARPG genre. Not surprised though, coming from these guys.
Looks like I'm watching a movie. Actual story telling through gameplay. I'm definitely looking forward for this!
Absolutely love the look of this. Definitely going to buy it!
Moon Studios iss cooking
It's an isometric Dark Souls. Even the movement looks very similar. Nice!
Amazing game!!! These guys are improving with every game. And the vibes from this one are just crazyyy. Keep it Up! Definitely buying this.
Easily my most anticipated title of 2024.
Do we know if the game will have classes or different ways to fight?
Isometric souls ? Shortcuts, closed doors, stamina for attacks and rolls, exploration of locations, RPG elements, parrying, gloomy atmosphere, bosses, the only thing missing is the return of currency after death XD and we will get a full-fledged soulslike in isometry. Insta buy!
Soul fans seing a diabloid for the first time:
@@Abobus101 there is no need to spend stamina on any actions, so No Rest for the Wicked closer to souls. Do Diablo fans immediately classify any isometry as Diabloid?)
@@Abobus101 This is no diabloid lol.
@@Abobus101 There is literally nothing that make this game a diabloid other than the top down POV, the combat is like souls, the UI is like souls, the atmosphere is like souls, there is a bonfire system, the stamina system is like souls, the enemies attack animations are like souls, the level design is like souls...
Looks interesting!
Shocked that this is what they chose to do after Ori, but excited nonetheless. Few game studios understand atmosphere, art direction, and game feel better than they do.
Love the art style
The art style of this game is amazing! Can’t wait to jump into this one!
Not big into proper RPGs but this is really calling out to me. Art style is superb, combat is fluid like a souls game and the just the presence / tone is right.
Diablo 4 did not grab me from the demo as it was too far out on the camera, BUT THIS, this could be it.
Every single move, attack and spin has an effect on the environment. The logs and debris on the battlefield are constantly flying around everywhere. This is amazing!
The ori games were a Metroidvania masterclass un design and tough as nails, with jaw dropping art and visuals.
so many games, so little time.. to play.. im definitely getting this.
Warrick the Torn looks like he’s about to say “U wot m8?” when he turns around @0:13
This is my first day must buy, no doubt!
sound design sounds great
This is what we want from the industry, not the corporate, churned-out slop of a mess, filled with microtransactions and causing dev crunches and layoffs.
Homie got hit by almost everything lol
It got everything right for an isometric soulslike. But please consider putting somekind of title like “Rest for the Wicked” or something when you beat Bosses.
Damn first time hearing about this game. Definitely looks promising
Massiv Elden Ring Vibes by this Boss Battle 😮
it’s clearly inspired by ludwig from bloodborne
Stolen animations
dude havent played any fromsoft game beside er in his life
@@mitchgowing2336stolen animations? 😂 Are you dumb?
@@mitchgowing2336 Source: trust me bro
This looks awesome! Can’t wait for it to come out.
They could do with a grammar check; it should be "THE storage room key".
Just love seeing From Software’s influence in almost every new action RPG these days. Very satisfying and surreal to see as an OG dark souls fan from back when dark souls was a little bit of a hidden gem
Wow this looks absolutely amazing!!! The animations, sound design, atmosphere and game feel is just on another level!! Well done Moon Studios you guys are incredible!!
This developer may just be second to none at making their environment and atmospheres coalesce so perfectly.
This looks wondeful. Loved the Ori series gameplay. Cant wait for this.
Never played the Ori games, but am looking forward to this one.
Second most awaited game for me second to Death Stranding 2
this is the first souls-like I've been anticipating, most souls-likes kinda just look like cheap knockoffs that don't really understand the process. as a huge fan of fromsoft's design it's really exciting to see another dev team seemingly have the capability to intertwine it's influence.
The only downside with the contrast, it's too dark in places. And it's also too blurry in places. Other than that, the game looks amazing.
It might be raining but it's atmosphere this game is dripping with!
The animation quality, detail of the environment and art style is perfect. They already got my attention w the TGA 2023 trailer but now I'm sold
Moon studios once again delivers ❤❤
hope there's an option to hide the HUD when you're not in combat
IGN fix your video outputs. They always look overly compressed and terrible.
It’s coming from Austria. Very proud of :)
Looking forward to this one, Moon studios for the win
those gameplay animations looked like they belong to a cutscene, so smooth
Loving the look of this.
A souls like isometric and from Moon studios. My my
*Royal Revenant PTSD kicks in
Diablo and souls had a baby and the name is “No Rest for the Wicked.”
nice to see the ori studios doing new things they deserve all the success
Well this looks absolutely incredible.. cannot wait for this
Atmosphere? Check. Try rolling? Check. Capra demon wannabe that rams you as soon you enter the arena? Check. Epic score? Check. Not that doubted these guys to begin with. One to keep an eye out for, definitely.
If the top left numbers are some sort of exp tracker, that boss didn't seem to give much xp. Looks like he got the same amount from just fighting an elite earlier
It's likely not representative of the final game
I'm looking forward for this game. This one and Black Myth:Wykong are the games that I'm waiting for this year
This is not a ARPG (Diablo, PoE, etc), this is a soulslike.
Ludwig the accursed
Top-down melee combat with parrying is sick, try Curse of the Dead Gods or Darksiders Genesis. But this game will take it to the next level
Need some background music
Probably the contender for the next game of the year award. It has BG3, Palworld, Helldivers2 potential to break steam player count record. Day 1 buy for me. Hopefully it comes out this year! QQ
the art style OMG.
This has some damn smooth animations.
Moon Studios are super talented. Ori 2 was one of the best games Xbox has worked on and this is looking spectacular so far.
So glad to see a new game from Moon Studios
