Power issues and gauges are from the thermal disconnect at the fuse block getting hot from bad amp flow/heat. When power is lost on a Jeep it won't idle on it's own. You have to give it a LITTLE pedal at first and then the computer will figure out what temp, altitude, etc and "learn" to idle. If that doesn't work try starting fluid to see if the fuel pump died etc. If that doesn't work check for spark. If you have fuel pressure, but no spark and not injector pulse then you need a crank snsr.
the original saabkyle04, oh I miss you :) I hope you will do a lot more of these "oldschool stuff" in the future, start ups/night start ups, lot updates etc. :) keep up the good work!
They only sweep when the wrong voltage is sent or not enough voltage is sent. They have a sort of neutral where they remain in, and when the gate opens, they end up sweeping because the voltage is lost.... Or something of the sort
Thanks for making this video Kyle. Ive been a long term subscriber since you started off at the dealership. I was pretty stoked when I saw the picture of that jeep you put on facebook lol. Awesome videos!
I've been looking forward to this video, and it was defiantly nice seeing you shooting using your old format. It would be cool if you made some videos like this every so often. Good luck with the jeep if you guys decide to fix it, maybe it will find an owner who will actually take care of it.
I'm one of the newer ones that found this over the summer, and It's worth saying I'm actually going back and watching the videos in order from the beginning, as well as watching the new ones... wow this jeep's changed. as of this time, I'm on the 08 BMW M3 that was posted on August 2nd, 2009
Neutral safety switch would keep the starter from spinning. Take the oil fill cap off to see if the rocker arms are moving with someone cranking the engine. If they're not moving then the timing chain is probably broken. If they are moving it could be a blown head gasket which would give it low compression. Check for spark at one of the spark plugs also check if it smells like gas, that way you know what it's not getting. Or get your mechanic on it.
@1964mm From your car and this car you conclude Chrysler was going through tough times? My parents bought a 2004 Pacifica new in 2004 and still have it ( I watched your video and it is actually exactly like the one you bought- color and all). They haven't had a single issue and have only had to bring it in for scheduled maintenance. It now has 110,000+ miles and still starts, runs, drives, and looks like new. The previous owners of your Pacifica probably didn't keep up on engine maintenance
i guess u just have to leave it there for the moment since the transmission and mechanical stuff got wrong again. but the cat is really cute! :) im a big fan of yours kyle, keep it up
Chrysler was going through some tough times then, my 2004 Pacifica, which I have a video of on my channel, had its engine replaced at 97,000 miles because it never started the first time, required constant pedal pumping to actually start, misfired like hell before it finally started. But the freaking problem is, as soon as it started, it ran beautifully and smoothly and without smoke or anything. As soon as you turn it off though, you have a hell of a time getting it back up...
You sure there was enough gas in it? the gauge read way below E that might've been the problem :/. As a Grand Cherokee owner myself I love that you brought us an update on this Jeep! Continue to do so please!!! I think the whole old saabkyle tribute thing is pretty cool you should do more.
Jeep needs a little TLC with the right owner. I got a 99, oddly with only 78,000-ish miles and it runs like a champ. Keep the oil clean and gased up and that's about it. Been a very good car to me.
@saabkyle04 Well like I've said before, You inspired me to get a Job at a local used dealership. I was only 14 when I got it. Now im 16 and my 2 years is coming up in February. I detail, start, drive the Cars and take care of the showroom. Thank you again for inspiring me and helping me with some detailing tips along the way. Lets just say the Headlights on the lot Cars are crystal clear!
I like the Grand Chero's, I owned a 96 myself but I will be the first to say that they are prone to issues. Even new they are known to be unreliable, but they are good rigs overall and great off road.
Ah man, I remember these times. Glad to have been a long term subscriber :D
I hope to see more of videos like these, keep it up man!

I love this Jeep, but those needles on the gauges going up and down had me dying 😂😂
Tristian Lent that's what happens with electric gauges when the battery is dead and you're trying to pull even more power out of it
Gabe Ulrickson oh I see, thanks for the advice
Tristian Lent these vehicles also had a gauge sweep issue
9:30 - "Pretty kitty... NO DON'T GO IN THERE."

The cat is so cute!
Yeah could be my cat's twin.
NICE ACCELERATION !!! 120mph - 0 in 1sec ! ! ! Inkredible !
Who knew that a 2000 jeep does a gage sweep
they don't
They only sweep when the wrong voltage is sent or not enough voltage is sent. They have a sort of neutral where they remain in, and when the gate opens, they end up sweeping because the voltage is lost.... Or something of the sort
Justin W. Damn u smart
They do it sometimes
Saabkyle04; He films Lamborghini Aventadors, Jeeps that don't run and random cats.
Good job man!
Thanks for making this video Kyle. Ive been a long term subscriber since you started off at the dealership. I was pretty stoked when I saw the picture of that jeep you put on facebook lol. Awesome videos!

Now that’s a real Jeep, classic and real fast
the way those guages kept dancing around made me lol
Ive been waiting for so long!
Yes! Kyle is going back to his roots :)
"the gauges are possessed" LOL!
LOL kitty looks just like Cheese (my orange cat) who randomly shows up in my car videos!
Really?
@saabkyle04 actually you should do this every now and again! It's kinda cool to see how you evolved over time. Great work then, and now ;)
i love your licence plate.
3:43 gauge startup
I think a demon has possessed that poor Jeep.
Chan Lach if a demon has possessed it then it would start driving by itself.LOL!
Chan Lach the demon possed the gaiges

You can try and get a new Jeep or a different kind of suv/truck
Ive been waiting for this w00t w00t!
The first video I ever watched after subbing to this awesome guy was a video about this Jeep. That was two years ago.
Ok ? This Car Doesn't Wanna Start . But iSaw The Most Recent One You Put Where iT Works Perfectly :D

Anyone who shows kindness to a humble stray animal is ok in my books. Shame about that Jeep.
@saabkyle04 Is there a reason you still kept it in the lot for 4 months?
the horn omg lol :D
yay i love these types of videos

Head to firewall ground issue more than likely. Causes issues with the battery. You have power issues for sure.
Nice video as always!
Every video of this famous blown engine jeep are my favorites since i start follow kyle
cats are taking over the Internet!

How can I see the vehicles your dad has for sale now via website
This is old school now!!
I found this chanel by this video 2 years later im still here
I love it when kyle gets pissed at cars lol and check out 8:45 XD
kyle, how much this car costs there,in NC?i can imagine that´s a good car...
what do you mean here last? why does it keep returning to you?
Its two-wheel drive, which if you didn't know was an American option only, all off the ones sold here in Canada were 4x4 or AWD.
Its a jeep it will always comeback stronger and harder. If it was another vehicle then it would've been dead!
Random Cat FTW!! That poor Jeep :(

On the roadmaster, what was that light that was on in the middle next to I believe low washer fluid?
Random cute kitty - LOVE it.
