This video is partially helpful. It would be 100% though if you had shown how to actually get in without the time saving measure of freeing the cover and then picking it up for us. Thank you for the vid but without that part, it is not useful to us.
thanks for this it was super useful :) .. great info too I prefer laptops where you can install 2 hard drives so this helped as far as me making a decision to buy one
HP will charge a lot more to build the laptop with 16gb of ram then you could buy a 16gb kit from Amazon or Newegg. HP wanted an additional $80 for 16gb of ram. I bought a kit with the same specs for $51 on Newegg. Plus I can re sell the 8gb that came with the laptop on eBay.
@@BrooksyTech ohh.. huh alright well I really do like mine I got it specced just like yours. 8gb ram, 256 ssd and I do have wifi 6, I built it on hp.com but I didnt upgrade ram or ssd much. I will be doing school on it and work, so I think 8gb ram is enough for me but not sure yet about the ssd size, I will refer to this should I upgrade.
What are your thoughts on battery replacement since the batteries these days are fully enclosed? I am thinking about HP 15Z-Ef3000 Ryzen 5 5625U which is like yours just slightly newer.
So is there any chance I can upgrade my RAM past 32 GB? I currently have 16 GB and an SSD with 128 GB so I'm looking to upgrade RAM/ memory. I don't think I can actually upgrade the CPU/ GPU.

Would you just build the laptop on hp.com with the 16gb ram they offer or would it be better to purchase something aftermarket?

The ram is fine to get however the ssd they give you is crap. I buy em cheaply as I can and upgrade the rem and ssd in general.
