Almost in every video you diss yourself (your brain is fuzzy or you don't think you are being articulate), but you are clearly intelligent and delightful. Thanks for the videos! I appreciate your research and the time you put into them.
Thanks for the feedback. Definitely not my intention but I can see how it could seem like that. It's always just actually comical because when the camera comes on, it's still so nervewracking even after doing this for years.
So sad the old ones will be gone! I LOVE them, and had also made the Long John Silvers comparison. I made my sushi with them, and they are the best!! Thank you for all of the information, it helps with the transition. Gardein prices have skyrocketed!
I have been buying these for the last month or so and I like them. Just wish they had more of a beer batter/pub style coating. On a side note, I just bought a new plant based calamari from Fresh Thyme and they were INCREDIBLE!!!
I just found the new ones and I will be trying them tomorrow! I’m sure I will enjoy them! Worthington had a fish fillet many years ago that was similar to shrimp boat here in Cleveland Ohio we used to have back in the 70s! It was delicious!
Me and my sister used to buy these as a treat for Fish & chips Friday (A common tradition in New Zealand) and then they disappeared from the supermarkets completely! NZ has a pretty depleted range of vegan foods, but I hope the new ones make an appearance soon, that would be cool 😊
I just picked up the new Gardein ultimate fish yesterday at Mariano’s (Kroger owned store). I’m looking forward to trying it. I enjoy the older version, so I’m excited to see how this new ultimate product compares. Thanks for your review!
God bless y’all! Half these products I would never know about if it weren’t for your videos 🙌🏽 I do enjoy Gardein Ultimate so a vegan seafood option is exciting to see!!
Thanks guys! Always enjoy your videos. I love your dynamic, your beautiful family, and "sharing" the journey! ❤😊 God bless 🙏 and have a great 4th of July!
This fish product is so good when you deep fry them. I couldn't eat this fish from the oven or air fryer. They are sooooo good when fried. The texture is spot on when fried as well as the taste.
I didn’t even know there was a new version. I eat the old ones all the time. I just bought a couple of bags a couple of weeks ago. Have you ever tried the Trader Joe’s ones? They are good too
I loved the old fish one I never tried the ultimate yet. I thought the old one the exact texture I loved and could imitate a McDonald’s fish filet I put with Chao cheese helmans vegan mayo mixed with sweet relish for “tarter” sauce on sandwich and it was amazing! I’m kind of sad that it has a new texture although like you said still good seafood imitation I’ll take it when I want to make that
I like the old ones better too. And I agree it’s reminiscent of long John silvers. I used to love ljs (I wasn’t a huge fish person and theirs kinda tasted like a mix of chicken and fish)
I think the switch to ultimate is entirely about making more money. I appreciate Gardein's products and I want the company to be healthy financially but this seems like a huge price leap for what's essentially the same product.
I also think it has to do with the competition increasing with names that are "catchy". IMPOSSIBLE.....BEYOND.....Gardein couldn't rebrand their actual name so my money is on that they added ULTIMATE for that reason
@@MakeItDairyFree And TJs thinks we don’t “like” the vegan products, when we can’t get them. I’m getting so frustrated with TJs that they are no longer in my usual rotation.
I tried these today and I don't like them as much as the old ones I hope they bring back the regular ones because I tried the ultimate chicken and I liked it so I was thinking I would like this because I like the original fish ones

The Ultimate chicken from Gardein is the ne plus ultra vegan chicken sandwich. It’s very expensive - ultimate means ultra pricey - but it is worth the money.
I haven't had this yet(never been familiar with the taste of real fish either), but it feels like the whole reason for the ultimate line is to compete against brands like impossible and beyond who market themselves as being the first "meat" substitute brands as if bean patties were the only form of vegan meat when they came out. Now gardein, Morningstar farms, Boca, and other brands are rebranding and creating new lines to communicate "meat" substitute. Interestingly, it probably does help popularize their brands to newer generations. It probably also helps separate the bean patties from the "meat" substitutes for those that have a specific preference. I do however also feel like prior to the ultimate line, gardein was KNOWN for being one of the better meat substitutes because their products were reminiscent of meat already. As someone whose been familiar with vegan brands before beyond and impossible, it feels silly and unnecessary in some ways, but I get why they would do it.
Idk why i tried these xD i never liked fish before I was vegan anyway hahaha. I loved Gardein when i first became vegan but after trying so many different brands i just cant go back to it. Impossible is just so good, their beef/chicken. I hope they make more! Also she is right haha Long John silvers does have that reputation, I put it on the same level as Arbys. xD
3:31 5 oz heavier and 1 less fish means they are bigger. Pretty simple. Could you please …instead of saying this and that. Say Ultimate and Original- because some of us are just listening while driving ❤ Thanks 🙏 Love you guys! Your sweet potato vegan challah is what brought me to your channel.

Right. I used to make amazing vegan pound cakes with Just Egg Liquid but they changed ingredients so now the cakes stick in the pan..it's ruined at least 10 pound cakes and Just Egg price has increased.

it looked like the new version is double the cost as the old version, but only weighs once more - that's disappointing.
