The funny thing is, I'm an Australian born in the 90s, so basically nothing from your channel is nostalgic to me, but it's still fascinating to see this broadcasting history and how it's changed over time.
Photo Booth is basically a celebrity endorsement, so to speak. As Gregor Fisher is playing the Baldy Man in it (a character seen in the Naked Video sketch show at the time, who'd go on to get his own series in the mid-90's)
This looks like an interesting idea for a series. I think it would be good if you did an episode on the ads Jim Henson did for Wilkins and red diamond coffee
And now that explains why my parents keep saying Air on a G string is the Hamlet ad theme... Awesome episode!! Such a great idea for a new series! Would it possible to do the thinkbox ads? Like Harvey & Rabbit, the woman on the doctors chair that quotes old tv ads (I think its just called the Thinkbox ad) and the Broadcast ad. All very interesting ads that would be awesome to hear your opinion on them.
The cowboy doesn't get into heaven because he is wearing a black hat. The good cowboys always wore white, or pale hats in the movies... only the bad ones wore black hats.

Voiceover - John Carson (up to 'The Wall'). There's no question that the ads got progressively worse over the years.
I smoked a Hamlet last night for the first time in maybe twenty years but it was very light on tobacco and crackled while burning like a cigar rollie. It seemed like there was about twenty percent less tobacco than was needed for cigar tightness. It also smoked in about 5-8 minutes or less. I don't remember them being like that, or am I wrong? Have they changed?
Must admit, for some reason, when watching the advert before writing the script, I honestly didn't see it! But as soon as I watch it when its uploaded I'm like... 'ahhh...'

Very true but I wonder if the nation’s view of the tune ‘Air on the G String’ in advertising was coloured by the usage in Hamlet adverts
My favourite was always the sad snowman whom the party guest then lights the Hamlet for. Brilliant advertising.
