When Menken said "you're wonderful...so you're an actress.." you can literally SEE the thought cross over his face "now what role can i create for this girl..."

In spite of being a songwriting legend, Alan Menken just seems like such a sweet man. It's clear that he has so much love and passion for what he's doing.
Also, I sang "God Bless Us Everyone" in children's chorus eons ago and had no idea it was written by him! What a gorgeous song!
He seemed very genuine, and I think he really did love singing with you. I would not be surprised if he went to see you in a production, especially if he were already in town.
Ok so Carrie you HAVE to be Belle in the theatre production of Beauty and the Beast!!
id love them to bring that show back. It needs to be shown as much as the lion king (I infact think its a better stage show )
I've never seen it but after seeing this interview and hearing the little snippet of the extra song he played i am desperate to go! Belle has always been one of my favourite disney princesses and the one i related with the most. Fingers crossed!

Does anyone else see parallels between Belle and Maurice and Luna and Xenophilius or is it just me? I mean, she's often lost in her own world. She's thought of as crazy. Her father's thought of as crazy.
So many people think of Belle as being like Hermione, but to me, she's like a brunette, American version of Luna Lovegood.

Froggy Boy Not the animated Belle. I mean, technically she's French, but her accent is American in the movie.
Often Europeans have an American accent when they speak English because that's the way they're taught :) just a little tidbit for you! xx

AWESOME!! One can never, never, never be too old for Disney. It is a wonderful place to be. I'm 59 and just came back from Walt Disney World and I loooooved it! I've been to Disneyland some 7 or 8 times, and it never gets old. The excitement, the tears in my eyes when I got there!! Whomever talks against it is absolutely insane! You have a wonderful voice! I've never been able to do theater because I was always too shy/didn't have the resources but things like this make me want to chase my dream even if it's just a small local production. Musical theater is just so amazing! This video had me almost in tears of joy.

Lmto Christmas carol was one of the best nights of my life and if I ever won the lottery I would pay the entire cast to recreate the night in front of a professional film crew so I could relive it infinite times. One of the most infectious scores I've ever heard and performed by a cast full of my faves. It. Was. Amazing.

I never ever comment on youtube but I just had to say this video filled me with such joy. I can't explain why but seeing you (an inspiration and a beacon of positivity) get to talk and sing (!!) with the legend that is Alan Menken just made me feel so much, I even teared up near the end.
