    Thanks for the update! Still looks great. Wish our was running as good. 2000+ hours, not regularly serviced I don’t believe. Gonna to be learning how to rebuild the transmission since that appears to be the source of a number of issues. (Grinding when shifting into High gear, creep when in gear but no gas pedal input, and lack of power most of the time in low gear 8mph is top speed on ours sometimes.

      Mine does grind if I am going quick from reverse to low or high, I am living with and just do my best not to shift quickly. My random loss of power ended up being the fuel pump. It was hard to test because the only get 4-8psi on a brand new pump and it seemed to get that. Final noticed a loss in pressure one time.

      @@WhitetailGarage ooo I may try the fuel pump too. Didn’t think of that for the lack of power. Assumed transmission since others are definitely up that alley. Ours cannot get into High at all, just grinds and grinds.

    I watch your other video on the build. You did a great job! I just purchased a 03 Mule and just going through it and fixing it. The guy before me did a lot of rigging and it's a mess haha. Does yours ever jump out of gear while driving? I've adjusted the cable and it just feels like it's not engaging all the way. Do you have any ideas or thoughts on this. I also have an issue with my fan not kicking on I'm going to wire it up when the switch comes on which wire did you tap into? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Mine sometimes has a hard time going into gear, but stays in gear when it is there. Your issue may be the cable, they can stretch. Have you tried removing the cable and having another person shift it directly at the transmission while your in the driver seat? My issue is likely worn out clutches in the transmission, that could be yours as well. I don't have the issue often enough to open that can of worms. Not sure on the 03 what color wire. I replaced the stock fan with an aftermarket one and wired it independently. It is wired with a relay and I just grabbed the first key on signal I found.

    Nice mule. Where did you get those windshield clamps and hinges at?

      Thanks! Video cover the full build can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/O67j4Eylce0/v-deo.html. But the windshield clamps I got off of Amazon here: amzn.to/303Ti1K
      Hinges were part of the windshield already. I cover that in the other video I think...

    I noticed you have Kenda Bear claw tires on it now. How do you like them compared to the factory tires. Also what size are you running now?

    • @WhitetailGarage
      @WhitetailGarage  2 роки тому

      I like the bear claws they were a great price at the time and have been a solid tire regardless of what I am driving in. I went with the 24x11-10. Stock wheel and no lift.

    Thanks for the info on the clamps. Would love to see even a short video of how you mounted the Moose windshield with those clamps. Or maybe just some still shots. Hard to catch it when pausing the video. From what I can see, you added six of those clamps (two each side on the top, and one each slide on the lower section) so you've basically reversed the way it folds. Contemplating doing this, as the older, cheap one-piece windshield basically makes the hood trunk useless. But I'm seeing about $335 for the Moose windshield, then six of the clamps at $23 each. So after tax and shipping I'm looking at about $500.

      I found the windshield clamps on Amazon. They show currently unavailable but these are what I ordered: a.co/d/2KuBCYv

    My 2008 Kawasaki mule 3010 makes a squealing off and on noise when 4x4 is engaged. It only makes this noise when it is moving. The noise goes away about 5 seconds after I disengage the 4x4. Anyone knows what the problem is?

    • @WhitetailGarage
      @WhitetailGarage  2 роки тому

      What does the squealing sound like? Is it coming from the front or rear?

    • @oneloveyessah
      @oneloveyessah 2 роки тому

      @@WhitetailGarage it almost sound like a fan belt slipping. On and off squealing sound coming from the front not the back. Only makes the noise in 4 wheel drive amd only when moving foward. Doesn't make any noise in reverse which confuses me even more. I dont understand why the noise stops in reverse. I replaced the differential oils so I would think if the bearings were dry the new oil would fix the problem temporarily if it was the bearings making that squealing noise. Im clueless

    • @WhitetailGarage
      @WhitetailGarage  2 роки тому

      @@oneloveyessah that certainly would be an interesting noise to come out of the front end. Unless anything externally is rubbing you only have bearings and diff clutches up front plus the hubs. Other then inspecting for a rubbing (tires, driveshaft, axles, etc...) and tearing apart the front diff, I am lost as well. You could take the hood and trunk liner out and put your ear closer while somebody else is driving to help narrow down where it is coming from. Keep us posted!
