I just got word that the little baby cave troll survived, and he now has a wife and 2 kids. His eldest child will be starring in Season 2 of The Rings of Power. Truly inspiring.
Rings of Power sucks ass. I’d love to see REAL adaptations of Tolkien’s other works though, provided they’re faithful and have Peter Jackson brought on as at least a producer
It would have made sense if elves had the ability to conjure magical arrows that disappear the moment it hits its target and materializes back in the hand of the one who shot it.
He still didn't have infinite arrows. He retrieved his own and also used ork arrows. And now i feel like a total fkin nerd so i hope you're happy with yourself 😐
In the extended edition of return of the king, Gimli Ross his bow after Aragorn tells him to “fire a warning shot past the bosons ear.” He misses there too.
It actually makes sense, since they’re arrows and he can get more pretty much anywhere he is like after a battle and during one they are scattered all over the place so he can keep on getting more
It's not really a miss but he did fail to stop the orc bringing the torch to blow up the wall in the two towers movie. He hit him 2-3 times but not in an effective area
Legolas did miss a shot in The Two Towers. He hit the orc delivering the torch to Saruman’s gunpowder bomb in the culvert under the wall at Helm’s Deep but he missed he aim point and failed to stop the orc. Also, in The Return of the King, he was supposed to send a warning shot by the ear of the Corsair Captain/Admiral but when Gimli spoiled his aim, he hit the guy next to the leader.
@@pyramusk3264 No he hits him with 2 arrows in the collar bones/shoulders on each side. Berserker Uruk is not wearing armor. But he underestimated the resolve. Because guy wasn't playin'.
That little baby cave troll grew up and made a return appearance in part 3..Return of the King...he was the dude that almost squashed Strider..outside Saurons black gates...I swear it was him..😊😊
If legolas took down a mumakill solo he could easily have saved aragorn from that troll at the black gate by using 4 arrows to the chest to distract him firstly
He was the ONLY elven prince born of that world. If you need to read that again. Any elf was a master bowman. And he was taught by their Best. BEST. Given the best bows, as well as a 1 off magical quiver.

I feel like the more impressive aspect is it still went right between his eyes, the cave troll was just a flook. Unless you’re implying he was also aiming for the cave troll for some reason.
In the books he goes on to shoot Gandalf when they thought he was Saruman and shot into the air instead. And was the first to recognize it was Gandalf, to which Gandalf responded "Well met Legolas". Also he ran out of arrows on Amon Hen, and at Helms Deep. Shot his last arrow at a uruk who tried to jump Aragorn as he was exhausted running up stairs.
He didn't miss that shot. It just couldn't harm him. You could hear the arrow drop on the ground in the movie. The nearest thing to him ever missing is when he shot at the pirates and Gimlie knocked the Bow.
I think it would have been cooler if they just made it a symbolic kind of thing. Like legolas is the peak of what a mortal being can be at his craft, but he is still limited by the mortal realm. And the only thing that does not die to his arrows are the ones that are already dead.

Arrows have a finite range
Not technically a miss, but Gandalf blocks one of his shots in Fangorn Forest. You know someone is next level if they can do that.
The guy had literal magic. It's a little better than a pointy stick.
Gandalf wouldn't have needed to block if Legolas wasn't on target
