    Texture is so overlooked, and incorporating natural fibres with synthetics gives so much depth. Great video!

    Very interesting topic, especially the combination of different materials, which is something that's a little less obvious but just as important! Glad to see you're back making videos!

      Thank you! I'm not the best with styling colors, so i focus a lot on tones and somewhat textures! texture can be a small detail but one that helps

      @@corbin7020 Yea same here! Sometimes the subtle details like that can make or break an outfit so it's definitely good to keep an eye out for. It's also why I appreciate videos like yours cause it focuses on these things

    Hey Corbin! Glad to have you back. One question: Has any of your opinion on proportions (as seen in your video about proportions) changed? That video taught me a lot of things I need to know at the beginning, but then I found that for some of the outfits, wearing a bit tighter top and a longer/bigger bottom with chunky shoes flatters my body shape more. I know body shape varies, just wanna hear how you think about it now, almost 3 years later. Have you found anything new and interesting?

    • @corbin7020
      @corbin7020  Рік тому

      Hey man! Thank you for the support! No my stance on proportions has largely stayed the same! And it’s a very general rule of thumb that I try and follow. I think it can be cool to lean into an oversized top or shoes or something. Proportions are just something to keep and mind and something to play with when it comes to creating an outfit imo.

    Question. Why have you got the books facing pages out and not spine out?

    • @corbin7020
      @corbin7020  Рік тому

      just for the aesthetic reasons. neutral tones hehe

  • @johntruman2126
    @johntruman2126 Рік тому

    I think that the opposite of what you did in this video (creating an outfit with many different textures) can be applied as well. A fit with similar textures across the board is better than one with many textures that clash (in a bad way) imo.

    • @corbin7020
      @corbin7020  Рік тому +1

      I do agree that too many textures can make an outfit too loud and clashy. like with many things, all things in moderation and balance!

    what's up with the bookshelf?

    • @Niruxu
      @Niruxu Рік тому

      the neutrals make it easier for the eye to look at. Putting books together usually ends up in lots of colors often wildly mixed depending on sorting style. Flipping them may feels counterintuitive but since it's your home you most likely are remembering where the book is standing that you want to grab - and are rewarded with this beautiful beige tones of paperpages that can "calm" a otherwise more "loud" room so to speak.
