Loved the video! Here are some extra tips from a Norwegian on how to make these outfits work in even colder weather:
- Don't wear metal earrings, it freezes your freaking earlobes!
- Always wear some headgear, I tend to find that headbands are cute, but there are lots of cute hats also.
- Wear thin wool socks or thights

Seriously wool socks! I don't really hear anyone outside of like Finland, Norway and Sweden talking about them but they are the best :D I have an embarrasingly large collection and you'll never catch me outside without them

styling for winter is tough because although you're warm OUTSIDE the moment you go INSIDE you have to strip your layers with no where to put everything! (opinion from a uni student who commutes to class)

oh my, yes. Same here, Heat up while walking/moving, break a sweat the moment you enter a building. Not even the best breathable cashmere or whatever can save you from the temperature difference of 30°C 😭
I just stack it all on the back of my chair.
You can take a nylon bag and remove the layers and put it in when you get 🔥

@@KaitiYoo I actually did it! Stayed true to my word, fished out my white jeans from storage and made three outfits with it! Ive been procrastinating in outfits and not feeling myself much these days + exam stress. This was a nice activity. Thank you 😊
no honestly kt i was STRESSING this autumn in what the f to wear when i go back to school from break but you have saved me as per usual! also matching one piece of the outfit (i.e my personal favorite earrings and shoes) with another piece makes it 10x better!

Just one thing though as a Swede do not wear your earrings outside as they either conduct cold ie you risk freezing your earlobes literally ( not a good look) same thing clip ones but there it’s the pressure and worsened blood circulation same result ie put on your earrings inside remove for outside. Use one of those tight tubes for the head preferably in merino wool +get a super big scarf so it can be layered on top and wrapped around the head. Wear a second pair of gloves but with thumbs only on top and make them big and thirdly always get your boots big because you will want to stick an extra layer of woolen socks as long as possible in there.

Loved the format of splitting the video between theory and application! My biggest tip when shopping/thrifting is to also pay attention to the material-wool is your friend! I have a lot of chunkier knits currently, so I like looking for finer wool knits (merino if I’m lucky) when I thrift so I can layer more without feeling bulky.

@@twistedxvengeance yea, but unfortunately not nearly as warm or breathable as wool (or for the environment, but thats a whole other conversation). I live in Sweden so for me it would be difficult to survive winter without wool hehe. Yes it is expensive 😩 but I try my best investing in few pieces or look second hand. In the long run, wool also stays good looking and fresh way longer than polyester

Vermonter here: this saves lives. Seriously. I always looked like a pillow and had no idea how other girls were able to look cute and insist they were warm (which I doubt) but the point is I want to stay warm AND look cute and now I don’t have to decide!

I live in Canada and I saw girls one season walking around in sneakers and skinny jeans with bare ankles in the winter...public transit users. Idk how they could stay warm and not freeze to death. ☠ luckily eastern canada isn't as cold as other parts. some people's favourite winter accessory is a cup of coffee lol. pretty but flimsy coats and always a cup of coffee :)

Arizona is amazing! One of my favorite states. I remember how hot it was during the day, but I also remember the coldest I've ever felt in my life was out in the Yuma desert at night. All the years I lived there, we never got even a flake of snow, but the nights did get cold in Jan-March. But then, I was outside from midnight - 6am on watch, so I imagine you're not going out then. ha ha ha : )

Take your jacket off or at least open it up just before you enter the building. Those few seconds of cold, dry air will make you sweat less once you get inside.
