The story about the salmon: the reason the woman didn't think it was salmon is because 21% of fish in restaurants are a different kind of fish than advertized. She was just unlucky enough to have never had actual salmon before that day.
For the people making their own lemonade to avoid paying for it, that's perfectly fine. Most restaurants serve ice water that comes with a lemon wedge and various sugars are at the table. If that's a problem, change how water is served and remove the sugar from the tables. What I do take issue with is somebody asking for multiple wedges for that purpose. But even then, if it's a problem, charge for extra wedges. .25 cents seems reasonable.
I almost wonder if the chicken wings guy was picking up a pregnant wife craving, because that's what that sounds like.
and I thought my one was bad. I have some food sensitivities, but my favourite used to be super simple, it was a basic burger you removed a spiced sauce from then added a wedge of another ingredient. Small upcharge and my favourite burger happened.
then they changed the menu, now the closest thing is "take this version of a 2-version burger, remove 3 things, add 4 things"
I'm always super polite with it, and go slow and make sure the order sounds right before I leave the counter, because it is an ODD burger, and I couldn't enter it fast.
When I worked a supermarket job I had this one place I'd order it from every week or so, and came in at such a distinct time of night, that all the staff memorized it, and one worked out the current configuration as the cheapest way to order it. They were really sweet.

I worked at a fast food place and had a cop come by every night who asked for ‘sweet tea with 5 ice cubes’ for his drink, and checked. If you didn’t put in five ice cubes, you’d get screamed at
On night shift a man asked me to make him a cup of tea. He then told me to dunk the tea bag only four times into the cup and that it. It was the weakest thing I had ever seen.
I think it should be mandatory to work a shitty service job once in your life. Maybe we'll all be less cunty to each other.
I know after working in retail for 25 years, I have empathy for the ones that work for the general public.
I frequently order burgers with no onion with a side of onion rings and that's always fun to say.
(I don't like raw onion but I like cooked onion okay)

Ordered a cheeseburger with the intention of getting a burger without cheese
Decided to have them remove the cheese

Almost all of them.
My mom doesn’t go overboard with all different ingredients, but she will ask for a small dish of lemon to put into her drink. Between that and the bubbly water she drinks at home, my mom might be intolerant of unmasked tap water.
Only special order I did was a simple plain butter pasta at an Italian restaurant. They did it no problem.
Not one I took, but one I heard was the coffee order Moxxie gave to Agent Two.
The raw steak for a hangover thing is true though I swear by it... Recovering alcoholic here.
i have a peanut allergey and a milk allergey and i dont eat mayo so i feel bad ordering food. i try to be as clear as possable and order things on the side, One time in college a severe got made when i asked for light sauce because they put way to much sauce on it and they were not sure if it was milk based.
I don't know if it is a reoccurring similar story or if its just Déjà Vu. But im sure I've heard the same story 3 different times with the one following being the same. I thought it was a the same video but each time the video has been released in the same day. Even more wierd its all been on a day where I've been at the same desk doing the same field of work.
Story 3 Reminds me of when my ex-husband would order the two cheeseburgers combo meal at McDonald's! Plain without cheese! 😂
Story 3: I like my hamburgers with just hamburger between 2 buns. I ask for plain hamburger, got plain cheeseburger. When I asked for another one, a plain hamburger so no cheese, their response was "so you want a cheeseburger without cheese then"? And that's what they charged me, the price for a cheeseburger not a hamburger for my cheeseburger without cheese.

In that case, they might as well just eat at home. It takes a lot less money to make the exact thing you want to eat at your own house yourself. I get that it’s not as fun as eating out, but I’m sure you’ll still be satisfied. Or alternatively, you could make it fun by actually looking up a recipe and going to the grocery store to buy the things to make it. Or you could invite friends over and have a small party and watch movies and play video games if you really want to do something fun.
Excuse the ramble: the idea of people who wanna get free food from a restaurant just is beyond me. They’re old enough to know better and cook for themselves (most of them, anyway).
