  • There were tears of joy and disbelief, as a family in China was reunited after more than two decades. In 1997, their 2-year-old son was playing outside their home in Shandong province when he was abducted by an unknown woman. An official investigation for the child proved fruitless, but the boy’s parents did not give up. His father, Guo Gangtang, started his own search. For 24 years, he traveled throughout China on motorcycle, looking for his son. #InsideEdition

Can you imagine how stressed this man has been for 24 years? All the times he probably wanted to give up…all the depression he likely had to fight through. Not knowing if you’ll ever find any answers…all for it to finally pay off one day. This is strangely inspiring. In a way this goes to show why you should never give up on something no matter how long it takes to get

Sad part about this is that their son probably doesn’t remember them. Therefore doesn’t have the emotional attachment. I hope they will be able to develop that relationship.

I would think that finding out your lost father is a LEGEND and HERO would go far towards filling the gap. I knew someone who never knew their bio parent, having been abandoned, but there was reason to believe that it was done with good intent as much as possible bad parenting. They were abandoned in a very public place during business hours, where they were most likely to be found by service workers and less likely to be simply scooped up, due to the crowds. This person *radiated* vibes of dark hope while watching the Robin Arc in the anime "One Piece." If you haven't seen it, it's a long series, so I will just state that the relevance was direct, and the emotion was intense. Finding out that you were never abandoned, never forgotten about, and always searched for, what more would a heart need to be willing to open?
