What a clever idea. I have miniduos in magic blue pink, and love the look of this eternity style ring. I also have the beads in backlit peach in the gemduos, so slightly bigger. Using this same concept, but bigger, this would also make a gorgeous tennis bracelet or vertical drop earrings or pendant. Love it!

Recently I used some backlit peach gem duos in a bracelet … Unfortunately the silver backing wore off so quickly ( in a few days of wear☹️) and color faded to a blueish peach … it’s interesting anyhow… I love the tennis bracelet idea and you’re right it could be used for the earrings or a pendant. some of the backlit Gemduos would make stunning earrings!!! Love your design, though. I’m sure it would be just as beautiful with other colour duos, I have some stunning jet AB ones, as well, which shouldn’t have that fading problem, hopefully 🙏
Your welcome, I think some backlit colors hold up better then others - maybe just my skin or soap/ lotion. I’ve always wanted to try coating the back with an extra coat of clear something but have not experimented with anything yet. Take care, and enjoy your beading.

I know I would obviously have to adjust the size of the seed beads as well, and I know the ring would be bigger overall BUT I love big and chunky jewelry so i would not mind! Just curious, what size seed bead would you substitute with if using the regular size GemDuos? Thanks hun!

At the time I tried to make the pattern work with regular sized GemDuos but they ended up being too chunky to allow the band to curve into a band shape and it wanted to just lay flat. Maybe a Chunky square ring could be made with the regular sized ones; think building with 4 pieces like a picture frame??? That’s the only thought I have at the moment with seed bead size and count adjustment as needed. I hope you have a beautiful weekend. ~ Sherry

Hi, I used MINI DiamonDuo to make these awesome little band rings. I think the diamonduo was the one that came in a backlit prisma color that I liked! Without looking the gem duo I think has a more curved top and the diamond duo might have a little bit more beveled top; It’s really only noticeable if you’re a few inches away from the bead really looking at it. One company manufactures the gem duo another company manufactures the diamonduo. But size wise and hole placement is the same for either one. I hope this is information you needed. Okay, here is the alternate beads questions, cannot get the minis, what do you think of using regular size Diamond Duos and increasing the band embellishments to size 11°s?
Hi, If my memory serves me correctly the full size for a normal size Gemduo doesn’t allow for as much curve. It may not work for the small diameter of a ring. Although the regular size Gemduo with size 11 Seed beads Might work great for a skinny bangle bracelet if you’re up to experiment with it.
