For the pre-chorus, basically the reason for the Tango can only be understood in french. He doesn't say "doobie" but "green joint". Green in french is "vert" and when he sings this part, he is spelling the word "vert" letter by letter EXEPT for the "t" at the end. That's when he uses "Tango", which is a word used by the aviation to say the letter "t".

French guy forgive my approximate english… Where to start with this master piece? What a bomb. I mean everything is here. Dem’s flow, his way to sing, to rap, his kicks, the different paterns OMG. The combination between energy, poetery and musicality is just insane. Big shoot out for the audaciousness to combine hard Rap style with a smooth jazz sax/piano part. Damso is truly a guy who love music, in comparason with others random rappers. he used to be a beatmaker before his singing career. You are going through a extactic phase to melancolia every single time I get goosebumps. I have been listening to rap music since 20 years this is at least my top 3 ever (if it is not the best ever regardless which country or origin). If a non french person ask me what is french rap like? I would definitely show him this track (with Au DD from PNL as well but this one god mind blowing to say the least. Big shoot out to you for the perfect analysis you f****** nailed it). If you guys enjoyed this piece of art I recommand you to check out artists such as Vald (tracks Désaccordé/Gotaga/Vitrine with Damso btw). SCH (Tracks Otto/Parano/Marché noir), Lefa (tracks 230/Solitude/Paradise) and of course PNL every single tracks. But this sound is above all of them, no doubt no hesitation
