Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to replace or remove transmission valve body on Mercedes ML Class W163. We demonstrated on a 2001 Mercedes ML320 however it should be very close procedure for removing the transmission valve body on ML430 ML350 ML500 ML270 and maybe ML400 that are equipped with the 722.6 transmission.

Super video guys. My ml 270 wasn't shifting up the gears so I replaced the complete valve body with one from a scrap ml that I had and its working perfectly now. Without this video I wouldn't have had a clue where to start but after about 8 hours work, including the time to remove the valve body from the scrap ml and €45 for new filter, gasket, o rings and transmission fluid it's like magic 🎉 thanks guys and keep up the good work.
How can you tell that the valve body is broken... Any code for that? Thank you
Question, should I replace the body valve when I replace the circuit condoctor plate?

How to know that it is time to replace conductor plate? or it hsould be replaced after XXX miles. e.g. 200k miles or so, thanks

Can anyone help with my symptom… I have a 2004 ML but after about 30 mins of driving it starts holding onto gears and not changing unless I hit 3k RPM. Any tips? Thanks

Was this ml430 stuck in gear
I hope someone can help, I got a 1999 mercedes ml430 with 118k miles. Goes forward but I dont know how many gears or how fast, had it towed after purchase. Does no go in reverse, I am told this is the job I need to do. I do not own a scanner to erase transmission codes or read them. After I perform the job will I need to reset the codes before I can drive it? or does it need any special dealer programming? Will I be able to drive it out and have the codes erased at a shop. Tempting to buy a scanner, but if i can drive the car to a shop after the repair to erase codes rather do that, but if codes need to be reset right after a repair than i will buy one. I will be replacing the conductor plate and inspecting the solenoids. thanks !

I have a 2000 clk320 in limp mode an its the turbine intake sensor how do i change it
Probably was the plastic conductor plate they show at the end there.
They forgot to mention, that most times the issue is the plastic panel there called the conductor plate. It fails often more than the valve body, or the solenoids.
Get a conductor plate, that plastic plug they were showing being removed, and check your tcm for fluid as it sometimes gets full of transmission fluid.
They already did all that in other videos
