My step father, a 35 year service Green Beret retired colonel, actually cried when Soap died. Some moments get to certain people more than others... In a way I could see him seeing Soap as one of the Indigenous rebels he trained or soldier under his command that died in combat. The way Price said "I'm sorry"...

John Marston was one of the first deaths that made my actually cry. It was just so devastating after such a long journey for his family to have it end that way. Guess we should have seen it coming but i was blindsided and destroyed by it.. i even reloaded the game before his death to finish all the side quests and stuff lol XD

Gears of War used to be such a powerful franchise. I remember how Dom changed from seeing the women he loved turned to a husk on top of how many of their freinds dying over the course of the war- but to see him close his eyes and how Marcus just started yelling for his only real friend....made me tear up as a kid and still makes me tear up as an adult
