@@princenari1939 But she wants OP to help her, not to make ammends. She only reached out because no one else she actually likes was helping her how she needed it
There is no telling OP’s sister was not treated well by the aunt. This is the same person who had issues with a child for being a child then left them in the trenches
That's karma at its purest form. She abandoned an 8yo, now everyone abandoned her. Let the aunt be upset about it. She'll eventually forget about it anyway.
I always told my father (jokingly mind you) that I would wait until he was old with Alzheimers before I kick his ass. He asked why and I told him: "So every time I do it it is the first time for you"
This aunt is horrible. The aunt changed the sister but at her core, I think the sister still has some humanity. I don't fault the husband and son either. Op is too nice to even entertain the idea of visiting and accept the calls after all aunt did. I can't fault the sister. Low-key I think the sister thought this was Op's and their chance to get one final revenge on aunt, giving her false hope.
As a person who has two family members with Alzheimer’s, it’s no fun taking care of them, you’d need a lot of patience and understanding to keep up with them also making a routine so the stress is lesser, I love both my grandpa and mom and that’s what kept me going and took care of them til their final days….in OP’s case I Can’t blame her if she chooses to not visit, her aunt made a dent that can’t be fixed she might have to live with it, if she had taken in both sisters and had been more of a mother than a stuck up, strict, delusional for perfection kind of woman then she would not have landed where she is now, abandoned and alone
My grandmother died of Alzheimer’s. It’s been two years. She stopped talking she would just sit there and just be so lost and confused. It was fucking heartbreaking. But I’m gonna assume that the woman in this story just had to be the worst person in the world for people to just say yay we can dump her. She’s never gonna remember us.
Everyone always says to be the bigger person lol F that she abandoned you. You have no reason to go see her! Stay away and leave them in the past were they belong
It sucks that the reason is she thinks it would have messed with a perfect family. I get someone saying "We are struggling as is and can't take both kids. We would like to see one adopted and ideally keep in touch still." But to say it was related to the girl not being perfect...
Reading the title and 2 mins of the video. It's reason good enough to not go and whatever happens to the aunt it's %100 on her. What an absolute selfish pos. Ohh I'm going to separate 2 sisters because I want a perfect famiy.
I don't see why the op is feeling sorry for her aunt she purposely put her up for adoption and now that karma is coming to collect its debt evil people always get got sooner or later
WOW! That aunt is a horrible person. I get some parents want their children to be good at when EVERYTHING, but you don't force it on them. You could encourage them, but let them do what they want to do. I don't blame either one of them for not visiting her because after what she put them through, she deserve it.
No crap they abandoned her. She was mean and heartless. Also, the older sis sounds like a B for just sending her a congrats after 15 yes of no contact instead of talking, interacting, and treating her sister as family since then.
"If she had wanted to talk to me, she would have done so herself" it takes two to have a conversation, so dont blame her for not reaching out when you didn't do so
Those were siblings and should have gone to the same home, the aunt messed up their entire sibling dynamic by doing what she did and sounds like she should have been investigated by cps for only adopting one and not the other.
Ops gonna defend her adoptive parents because she clearly got the love that she needed. With that being said, I think they tried to keep in touch with the aunt and the sister. Because that is her blood family, but this evil woman more than likely kept doing BS excuses, and probably just kept ignoring their calls.
7:21 not visiting her isn't mean and it's not being a terrible person because she did the exact same thing to you by putting you up for adoption because she wanted a perfect family. It's called karma and morally you aren't in the wrong. I don't care about those people saying second chances because if this didn't happen to you and your life is all goody Two-Shoes then you need to butt out because not everyone's life is similar to yours because that's the only life you've ever lived.
OP doesn’t know what her sister’s life was actually like living with her aunt who wanted a picture perfect life. I figure there is selfishness and a lot of pressure. People don’t usually end up alone like that without some type of reason. I honestly think the aunt was probably abusive.
The sister is still a piece of crap for giving her aunt her number without asking OP first and not even trying to contact OP. Why even have contact with a person like that ????
The aunt must’ve been really awful for everybody to just dump her and not care. Sounds like you dodged a bullet by her giving you up like that. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s all nine of her kids. All of her grandkids. Her great grandkids were there for her 100%. I guess I can say she actually loved her family. This woman had to be just absolutely terrible for them to say I’m busy with my own life. That’s your mother. No one’s that busy.
if she's a good person no one would leave her, not saying her aunts familiy is good but if you a good person there will even just one person who will stick by their side no matter what and by what she described, her aunt isn't one. But still pitiful, it's normal to feel sorry for someone who is ill, it's just you being human
why would you feel any pity for your aunt? she rejected you and did all she could to get rid of you. let your aunt live out her days as she deserves.............alone and miserable
Am I the only one that didn’t like how quick op started badmouthing her sister, like yeah she didn’t reach out earlier but op said themselves that she was a relatively nice person. Op assume that the same person willing to abandon an eight year old child had done virtually worthy of no contact from the rest of the family and immediately call them terrible people
She told in her earlier updates she's engaged to her bf but then later in an update her bf proposed to her 2 days ago? Seems fishy to meeeee, the logic police 🚨🚨🚨🚨 😅😂
It's not your fault it's your aunt's fault because she decided to adopt his sister over him and your aunt like his sister instead and that's not right and she should pay for her actions and go to hell for what she has done.
Her aunt rejected adopting her when she was 8 years old and contacted her 15 years later when she was 20 years old however that would make her 23 years old not 20 years old, if she was contacted 15 years later and was 20 then her age should be 5 years old not 8 years old. That's quite strange
Imma be real here, OP kept saying she got abandoned, okay, you moved on, but when your past contacted you again you're all about rationalizing why you don't want to visit them, ergo you did not move on. you're just trying to find justifications to not visit your aunt because she "wronged you". BOO HOO HOO. just visit her, STOP being a b!tch. is it so hard to be a good natured human and talk to her? you really needed weeks to justify your decisions? sure your aunt was a bad person to abandon you but now you're the same as her. looks like abandoning is in your families' blood. I had a grandma who barely saw me, talked to me, but when she was diagnosed with cancer I called her from abroad and talked to her. it was short, but I think it meant a lot to her. and in 2 weeks she passed away. I could have been a stuck up asshole and refused because she was a nuisance to my family and created more problems when I was a small kid. but the pettiness would not have solved anything. I hate stories like this, where OP tries to justify their own bad attitudes based on past wrongs.
Family isn't about blood its love and mutual respect. OP moved on and then aunt contacted then OP thought about it and didn't want to talk to her. THATS NOT UNREASONABLE
…. Does OP realize how much adoption papers cost? just court documentation alone can go to 2k. So was it that your aunt didnt want you or she was only able to afford one
To be honest, ETA in this story. From the aunt to biological family members (OP could’ve been taken in by one of you) to the sister (you received your sister’s number, but instead of reaching out you give it away to a nursing home) to the adoptive parents (the courts wouldn’t have allow the siblings to be split up, so they could’ve taken the aunt to court) to OP.
I just started the video. Don’t visit the aunt, she ain’t make time for you so don’t make time for her🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
I would normally agree but I think the aunt is feeling guilty about her choice and maybe is trying make amends

There is no telling OP’s sister was not treated well by the aunt. This is the same person who had issues with a child for being a child then left them in the trenches
Also, aunt's been reprimanding OP for not being too perfect; as in cordial, and lady-like.
I guess she might've been abused to retain that manner.
....who was also a child at the time. OP's sister was TEN when this all happened, she's not to blame for what the aunt did

I literally heard rSlash's voice in your comment 😂
why are you getting mad at them, its not like they are forcing their opinion on her, she actually specifically asked for their opinion.
I think the people pressuing op to visit were the people running the home due to the aunt pressuring them
