How did you record separately on the UI16 to do this post mixing?

The individual tracks were recorded at a gig with a Presonus StudioLive mixer. I fed them from Pro Tools into my UI16, and then recorded the output from the UI16 back into Pro Tools.

hey bro... question... when i 3 channels... gain at +15... and fader at 0db , master at 0db im getting a lot of static noise or like white noise... any experience with that in your ui16 ?

Check your EQ and Dynamics settings on the individual channels. If you have lots of eq boosted, or the make up gain on the dynamics boosted, it adds noise. Do you have any signal going thru the channels? If not, you will get some level of noise by pushing up the gain sliders. When you have signal going thru it, and set the gain to about -12db the noise will be hidden. This is a $400 mixer and will have some noise. I've never had an issue with this during actual use. I'll see what mine sounds like with no signal next time I have it on.

Did you check the EQ and dynamics settings on the channels? Also be sure the guitar amp sim thing in channel one is off. Check the graphic EQ and dynamics settings on the main output as well.

Why is the room part of my fx send delay?

Not sure what you are asking?

The "room" is a second reverb unit, generally used for the drums. You have 4 effects processors on the UI16 Reverb, Delay, Chorus, and Room. The room reverb can also be changed to a second delay unit. Maybe your unit has it set to delay. You can change it back to room. Let me know if you want directions.

do you know how to change back?

@@schw1973 Go to the main mixer page, select any channel. Then hit the "Edit" button at the top. Then hit the FX SENDS tab. You will see the four effects engines. The farthest one to the right likely says "Delay" for you. If using a tablet, hold your finger on that "Delay" button at the bottom. A small menu will appear and you can select "Room".
