Epic bash guys! Little Max flys’em to the max! He’s awesome and learns wicked Fast! Yeah, I could see that MT-10 on its way down snapping something and the “pop” 😝. That sucks, but a quick fix. Glad you already learned about the RPMs being more robust. The Hbx did freaking amazing! Both of them are as tough as nails. Great video fellas, as Always!🚀💯🔥😊🍻

Love both of mine. I like the 1/16 at the skatepark a bit more though surprisingly! It lands a lot less... Harshly. But the big one is very controlled and a blast everywhere else the little one struggles.
I agree the rival lands harshly lol. But yes very good handling!!
Great video, id say the rival mt10 is the 1/10 equivalent of the 16890 for sure. I mentioned my favorite wheels in a previous video, i found out theyre from the discontinued hbx 1/12 survivor st, can find them super cheap everywhere re-branded, highly recommended 😁

Can you try find the best 1 10 scale truck 210 or under.Is it the ftx carnage
A true 1/10 under $210 would be a tough find. For 1/12 scale my favorite would be the hbx 2997a. Cheapest decent 1/10 I have is either the mt10 or the granite.

Do you have a link to the heatsink for your MT10? ...Also would u recommend any other upgrades or heatsink for the 16889a other than the ones you mentioned in your other vids?
This is the heat sink right here. It’s also much more effective if you use thermal paste to put it on.

It doesn’t fit the non pro or the 16890 like it says it does. Unless they changed it but I don’t think so.
Goofy given the scale, but I appreciate this head to head. These are both cars I'm very interested in, stepping up to brushless. The new 16890 that seems to replace the 16889a looks great.
Yup I know, lol. A comparison between my favorite 1/16 scale and my favorite 1/10. Those seem to be the most popular scales. They’re both unbeatable!
Is the rival better than the hbx2995 upgraded version?

That’s a tough call. I’d say the 2995, the way I have it, is more fun, but I can’t make an exact call on that until I’ve tried the rival on 3s. Rival is a bit bigger, and I have now cracked two chassis’ on the 2995, but it’s also been run more than the rival. Definitely can’t go wrong either way but I think I’ll know more in a few weeks which is more fun and which is more durable.

No fan on 16889 motor or esc? Have you measured the temperature? Only ask because my pro version motor gets a little hot to touch stock form with stock tires but with laser thermometer SHOWS only 50 degrees Celsius which is way below maximum temperature for this motors.
I didn’t laser it. I keep forgetting to get batteries for my IR gun. But it wasn’t crazy hot. I was very surprised!
I've been watching all of your videos about the HBX 16890a pro ($150 CAD) or MJX H16MB ($200) and was thinking of getting it to share with my daughter (5 years old). However, I've also been checking out this BEAST Rival MT 10 and after watching all the videos on youtube I'm very close to spending the $500 Canadian dollars instead. I also noticed that only Version 2 is available online, but the body shell doesn't seem as nice as V1. No idea what to do because I never owned a nice RC.
The mt10 is one of my absolute favorites.
The v2 seems to be exactly the same except for the shell, which I prefer the v2 colors scheme anyway.

Running the pro with 3S and big wheels killed my rear diff. does yours take it?
2S is not enough for the rival though you gave it the durability test, was that 3S with the pro?
No that was 2s on both vehicles. I haven’t had any issues with the pro yet but also have not used 3s on it so far.
