- Why is this Team Associated Rival MT10 the 'Basher of the Year' for me?
In the UK it is around £80 (over $100) cheaper than the Arrma 3s BLX Granite (Its closest rival). It's also as tough as the Arrma. It's Faster than the Traxxas Hoss (both are 1/10 3s MT's), and HALF the Price of the HOSS!

I've had mine a month and been pounding it on nothing but 3s lipo n who ever said there weak obviously made a point to break it because I've had no issues. Awesome little truck for decent price. Win, win!

The whole "break sh*t for views" mentality of the interwebs really gets under my skin. Unfortunately, there are enough people willing to spend their time watching absolute carnage and idiocy in the name of payouts that it will never evaporate. I much prefer this channel to the shenanigans on "that other brit's" channel ;). I take care of my stuff - as I'm sure most people watching this channel do.

Broke mine today! There's a beach path/trail down at Bexhill, near Ravenside retail park. The flattened part near the bottom of the little "cliff"there is more than wide enough for full size vehicles, but the beach is stony. Coming towards me, but 50 yards away, the MT10 went into a wheelie and just at that second there was a stone on the trail that I hadn't noticed. Quite a big stone, but even so, my back wheel hit it and the truck flipped a few times, with the wheel separating. The M4 thread part of the axle had broken clean off! Ironiclly I was testing out some cheap wheels/tires that I had taped on the inside to eliminate the ballooning. That part worked out well.
Amazing truck, I broke stock arms, I soaked replacements in wd40 for 3 days to soften them up - it takes that same jump which broke the originals without any issues. Your videos are great, have been waiting for this one for a while 😁

The couple vids I've seen of them breaking were really nasty hits. Some were trying to break it. I know Kevin Talbot broke his, fixed it and tried hard to break it again. This looks like one of the toughest trucks I've seen.

Great bashing, nice driving and most importantly, the strongest/best/most expensive rc car in the world will break if you land it wrong.....
As you rightfully say, a break on a bad landing is on you, not the truck. A bad basher is one that breaks when its only been landed well (ie on all 4 wheels).

Cheers mate. Anyone can hit a ramp as fast as possible and let it smash in to the concrete... I'm more in to learning how to get the best from them. Common sense unfortunately isn't that common lol

Because of your support AND because i bought this truck just after I saw this vid, we are taking this rig to a track to see wat it can do - yes we know its a MT b4 u lot kick off 😅 but it this 3s rig is just amazing , even now (dec 21) !!!! We have a track vid incomin to see what its REALLY MADE OF - with a few UPGRADES😅 ( watch us do 6s rigs - Massive love out to Tomley for this one .....SERIOUS XMAS PRESSIE !!!!! Have one since December and been trashing it hard on 3S since then, had no issues with the A arms , most have because of cold temperatures. It is a BEAST and can make a MAXX cry. The weakest part is the body its a bit to thin lexan shell but there are spares and alternatives. If you have issue with A-Arms go get RPM upgrade arms.
Outside the wire... Still got the lingo 😂 Looks like a tough RC, definitely worth a look considering it's half the price of my Maxx, and takes the same abuse. Possible Future purchase 👍

Ordered one, and 2 3s 4000mah lipos. Wheelspin models £334.18 including shipping. Heh, I don't do that sort of driving, much, so it should last months before I break something.

@@TomleyRC no doubt. Could be different plastics etc. I'm sure as well. But every single part will bolt on and Helion parts are a half the price of the AE parts. A complete diff for example is around £40 for the AE, or £17 for the Helion...

Redcat Kaiju for about $100 more gets you 6S potential and very very similar characteristics to the MT10.

While 100 more might not sound like much this truck is currently 300 US. That is 1/3 more in cost.
I looked at this truck hard but for some reason the arrma big rock v3 spoke to me more.
@@brutallyaverage8293 Depends.. Some places its only $50 more where the MT is 350. Also the Kaiju is a little bigger and closer to 1/8 or 1/9 scale and is 6S capable, so yeah its about 30% more for more Truck. I wasn't saying it is direct competitor, I was more like - "If you like that, you will LOVE this. The next step up or alternatives jumps several hundred dollars for a Maxx level truck, so to me the Kaiju is the absolute best bang for the buck sweet spot if you are going to be putting down over $250 anyways. $400 is a bargain for what you get.

The color just pops, I admit I cringe at taking cars to the skate park, that MT10 is very impressive, I still think its better than arrma's, which I take alot of heat for, but team associated all day long over arrma, [my opinion] it's more "nimble" nice driving brother! 😎

Hell yeah it is! Its a team associated!! Traxxas amd arrma killer. They are going to have to step up the game with associated entering the basher game. Traxxas couldn't hang with them in racing and they won't be able too soon with the basher side.

Nice vid. I like this little truck. The MT10 comes with a Deans plug on the ESC right? Have you found this ok on 3S or have you soldered on another type?
Deans should be ok on 3s… I always change mine to XT60 or XT90
Still debating on a 1/10 truck. Would you recommend this or then quantum+ flux both seem like very capable cars

Robust little basher! Got one myself, love it except for the servo-saver, which sometimes leaves the steering feeling unresponsive, any tips?

I had to order a new motor and esc for my helion. I ordered a surpass platinum 3660 and the 60amp. Its supposed to be 4300kv but they bench test a little lower ive read. I know i know dont run it on 3 s right? Was this a bad choice? Itll b a while before its in. So what should i get if/when I smoke this set up? This is a basher truck I expect broken parts so my feelings arent hurt. After decades of dirt bikes working on a toy rc is like therapy i enjoy it. Love your videos btw thanx for the entertainment and knowledge. Oh And the RPM arms are serving well 👍 i love this truck.

Hi, I'm looking a RC for my 4y old son. Looked some this chinese cars and I can't decide. I wanna an off road 4wd, fast (more than 30km/h), brushless if possible and under $120. Do you have any recomendations? Oh and bigger is better !!! ;D
If you were in the UK I’d say the Maverick Quantum.
I would say original Slash 4X4, not the brushless one, just the brushed one, and he should be good to go, trust me the Slashes are literally built like Tanks, very durable!?

@@TomleyRC we don't land on the floor most the time if your using the jumps the right way hense take off and landing part of jump and there both wooden do the same vid in concrete park then you can say its a true basher

I owned the traxxas rustler and I got rid of it for this best decision I ever made this blows the rustler away
